I used to hate school picture day. They never took a good photo of me and it was stressful to try and keep whatever nice outfit I'd picked clean and nice until the actual photo time (inevitably in the late afternoon). But since this week they were using our theater for taking school pictures and they left most of the stuff in the space between days. So I had to take advantage of the goofy backdrop and actual lights.
The hat? What about it? You got a problem with kitten-eared hats? Well do you?!
um... actually, this hat was something I found in our storage when we were pulling out masks & decorations for our halloween haunted house. And I just had to borrow it. For the whole winter.
lighting notes: I don't know what they were exactly since I didn't think to look that carefully, but it was a hotlight on each side of the camera, both thru umbrellas.
From the "Va Va Va Vintage" event at Calumet this weekend. Hollywood hairstylist Leeann Brittenham did the hair, and Courtney Miller did the makeup. Krista did a great job modeling! I didn't catch the name of the guy in this shot, but he was one of the photographers attending the event, and he stole my hat for this :->

I went with my friend Charlotte to an event on Prince's Avenue. I've been a few times before - it's called Beat The Clock. They play 70s and 80s and lots more - all played from 7" vinyl. Old school!
We had a cracking night and danced most of the night away.
While we were there, someone tok a photo of me while I was on the dancefloor, and I absolutely love it! I have it in colour and black and white, and I have to say I prefer the black and white - it's more atmospheric. Totally love the photo and it will be one I print out to put up on my wall!
