Sits on the top of the tallest trees and palms, an insect aerial feeder, most active dawn and dusk, a joy to find, and one of my favorite birds.

Keep safe and well,
God bless
Tomx

Hope you like this one, of a small but amazingly attractive moth, which because of it's brass-like appearance has a metallic sheen. Hence the name: burnished brass moth (diachrysia chrysitis). It extends throughout Europe and across Asia as far as Siberia and Japan.
Thank you for all your comments.
"JUST LOVE THIS IMAGE !"
Britain's smallest grebe is a dumpy and buoyant bird that frequently dives for fish and aquatic invertebrates. It was my good fortune to see one fairly close and in the open.

THANK YOU for your visit and friendship. Keep safe and well, my dear friends. God bless... Tomx.
I was amazed to see this young fledgling robin on our fence so early in the year, and two very busy parents flying around looking for spiders and insects.
"GOD'S BEAUTY is SIMPLY AMAZING "
ENJOY EASTER, for what it stands for.
God bless you all
Tomx.

A Flower
Have you ever heard
of a flower that never needs
Water, soil, or sunshine?
A flower that stays in full bloom
Through summer and winter
Through good times and bad
A flower that rarely gets smaller,
growing endlessly.
A few lost petals,
A little droop,
but, without a doubt,
it will always regrow
into something more beautiful.
I have one of those.
I call it Love.

ONE of our most colorful birds thought this was a foreign bird when I was young. The charming Goldfinch is a favorite among many people, it is widespread and found in the Kent region throughout the year. It's pure delight to hear the sound of their tinkling flight calls. Garden capture.

THANK YOU ALL, for your kind comments and prayers am on the mend, praise be to God,

I forgot this one folks and the last one of this bathing beauty, you just rarely see this behavior from this species, they are so very elusive.
Have a great Sunday, and a great week ahead, oh and thanks for stopping by.
This folks was a great day, as we approached the pond there were over 100 birds feeding, flying, taking off and of course landing and the action ws non stop for quite a while, so there will be more images from this outing.
Have a wonderful day, and thank you so much for stopping by, always appreciated.
CHARMING well-marked little finch, seen only in our area a few times during the winter, when alder trees are leafless, and the seed heads are up for grabs. Seeing then up high in the trees twittering to each other, is a real joy, but a real photography challenge, as they move so fast. and their heads are always buried in the seed heads! . When the seeds are gone so are the Siskins. The males have a black head like above, and absent in females, seen in the Alder wood at Stodmarsh, Kent, U.K. Not the best image, but the best I could do, and not sure if I will see them again this year.

Really trying, I want to change the view I see the world now but no, I can't. Very disappointed with this year... I need a refund of this 2020 year!
PERCHES at the very top of trees, normally in groups, following cattle. A strong flight, and very vocal, foraging over swamp and grassy margins, very agile with sudden contorted twists and turns in mid-air to catch prey. A firm favourit of my Brother Bob.

Good Monday morning everyone and hope a great weekend was had by all.
This is a 3 image series starting with this very mundane pose of this guy that just flew in and saw something, and he did but stayed on the ground to eat it.
Thank you for visiting and for all the kind words.

RELATIVELY large , with a huge red and black bill. it was a joy watching this one hunt fiddler crabs, which have one very enormous claw, and he avoids the biggest ones, as they may come out top. This K.F was very bold at the Kotu bridge, and poised for quite a while. Hope you enjoy.

Wishing everyone who celebrates, a Very Merry Christmas, and a wonderful Holiday Season.
There will be more of this species for they were all over the place on this day and doing things that we can only dream of photographing, so please bear with me for a while.
Have a wonderful day everyone, and thank you for visiting, off to the pool with the kids.
My post for tomorrow folks and again due to a very early shoot. Have a great evening, and a great day and thank you so very much for visiting.
And finally one on a post instead of a wire.
Good Sunday morning everyone and hope a great weekend was had by all and that your team wins the play-offs.
This is the same bird after changing position and a much better pose and image.
Tomorrow will start my Reddish Egret Series, sorry.
I decided to walk around my garden this morning and see what I could find. Some real beauties greeted me!
Installment 3, you gotta love the look on the face of the Hawk folks, and wondering if this vulture lost his mind or did I, and goes on and on from here, as you will see.
Thanks for all you've done.
A close-up done with the 7Artisans manual lens at F1.2. The photographic discussion sometimes refers to "dream lenses", often super-fast vintage lenses that produce soft and rich images. I found that this little Chinese lens does similar things when used wide-open, in particular when backlit. If sharp focus is not your primary aim, then this tiny and inexpensive piece of glass would be an option.
