Lefty Grove's monument in Frostburg (Md.) Memorial Park. Grove pitched four and a half years for the International League Baltimore Orioles (1920-1924), before embarking on a 17 year major league career. Grove's 330 strikeouts for the Orioles in 1923, still stands as an International League record. Routinely regarded as one of the greatest pitchers in baseball history, Lefty Grove still holds several major league records that have been unchallenged for over 70 years. To quote Bill James, in the original version of his book "Historical Baseball Abstract", published in 1985: "What argument, if any, can be presented against the proposition that Lefty Grove was the greatest pitcher who ever lived."

My 56th "Squirrel Run" of the year at the University of Michigan since our work from home started to combat COVID-19. This should also be my 100th picture of squirrels on campus this year - way down from a normal recent year. Pictures on Friday December 22nd, 2020. I saw Lefty and that made me happy. Also hooked up a few squirrels who had patches of mange. With colder weather - they need a nice full coat. I had a few things I had to do in the office. Still playing with back button focusing and the servo AF functions. Fun day with my squirrels. The campus was mostly empty and the squirrels are getting ready for winter. Sending love and virtual hugs from Ann Arbor, Michigan.
