Dandelion seedhead: A new approach..
37667 exits the lime light and hands the batten over to 40145 who will lead the southbound Stacation Expresses on the last day of the 2020 season, The 40 is sitting on the head of tomorrow's southbound ECS ready to go in the yards at Appleby.
Myself, Rich,Jim and Gav had witnessed the loco swap and shunting manoeuvre and managed to get a few shots in the bag....somehow.
Hopefully 2021 will see the return of this venture. Thanks RCS.
Another in the Frostbite Series, but at this moment the frost and the mist were almost gone. You see on the left nice green grass, frost free, and at the left there is still some frost. The sun started to heat up rather quick, but still, I had cold toes!

At this point, the decision is already made. But both sides of the fence lead into fog so who knows which path is better?
If we change our decision, I know there will be a hole in the fence...

Right before the H1 duo left the yard yesterday morning, this also left. And, because the railroad is going to railroad, both of them got parked in the forest of Saltillo until that evening. Thankfully, this guy got on the move in shooting light. The H1's? Not so much. We win some and we lose some, don't we Sam?
