This takes a shot at the standard of honing. Customary practice sets are constrained in reading material, thus emerges the requirement for additional #learning material, and #AGXL comes into the photo.
Been a while since I hit the streets with my camera so I thought my not do it Monday morning. Only problem, at 7am the sun was low, the sky was super bright and cloudless leaving me without the style I wanted but with some combining and tweeking effects I love how these turned out!

Kyleah Frederic, history freshman, completed a service learning project at the Harry Tompson Center, a day center that serve the needs of the poor and homeless in the downtown New Orleans area. The center provides showers, laundry services, a telephone room, legal aid, medical care (including mental health), and prescription assistance. Picture taken November 9, 2010.

After a voracious reading of the Strobist blog, here's my first attempt. SB-800 through Lumiquest SB3, camera left. Used TTL - not confident enough for manual yet :)

And I don't mean just pottery, but ropes quite literally.
They weaved their own ropes too - with that strange machine in the background (at the left side). I believe they used horsehair.

Due to life getting in the way during the second half of 2013, my Welsh was getting very rusty. This year, now my OU study is complete, I want to make Welsh a priority.
I like the spaced repetition method of learning, but I memorise complete sentences not just words. I could use an app on my iPod Touch, but I just prefer using actual cards made out of cardboard. :)

Learning Route on Natural Resources Management and Climate Change Adaptation best practices covered several districts in Kenya. The event was organized by Procasur with the support of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
The objective was to scale up through peer to peer learning the Kenyan best multi stakeholders’ strategies, tools and practices to fight environmental degradation and to adapt to climate change with the aim of improving the livelihoods of people living in affected territories.
