Whilst on holiday in Shropshire I spent the day with Chris Neal and his birds of prey. It was an absolutely amazing day and I learnt so much, it was one of those once in a lifetime days that I will remember forever. Having said that I would love to do it again !! Not my photos, obviously, my husband had the camera for the day, I just get the job of editing them and drilling down from 900!
If anyone is interested www.hawkeyefalconry.co.uk/experience.htm I can highly recommend it, Chris is exceptional.

NZ endangered sea birds by Amanda Lynn & Dirty Bandits
Dickens Street, Napier CBD
As Amandalynn and Dirty Bandits illustrate the beautiful nature of New Zealand’s Fairy Tern and Chatham Island Taiko, the hope is to enhance an appreciation of these endangered creatures. Combined with the text reading ‘You’ll Miss Me When I’m Gone’ repeated over and over again, this piece acts as a reminder to treat nature with care. “No amount of regret later can bring these birds back once they’re gone.”
This summer, the Needham Community Education course entitled "An Inside Look at the Medical Profession" invites students to get a front row view of the medical world at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Needham. Students learn in a classroom setting from BID-Needham's medical professionals before spending significant time in the hospital, learning and discovering in all areas, from the Operating Room to the Radiology Lab. For more information on the course, contact akence@bidneedham.org.
Preservice teachers at Washington State University Vancouver are able to get top-notch in-class instruction. We recently visited two different classes taught by Dr. Shameem Rakha, one Classroom Management (TL 310), the other Diversity in Schools and Society (TL 330). It was quite evident that WSU Vancouver, as well as our faculty, are adding to our students' desire to teach by helping them build capacity to be agents of change.
