Golden-headed Cisticola (Cisticola exilis) juvenile
This time last year there was a number of juvenile Cisticolas around the Sneydes Rd. Paddock.
A flight of fancy on a wind swept field
Standing alone my senses reeled
A fatal attraction is holding me fast
How can I escape this irresistible grasp?
Can't keep my eyes from the circling sky
Tongue-tied and twisted, just an earth-bound misfit, I

I have so many images of Cisticolas in this pose, this youngster was learning the pose well.

And: I don't like Comment-Codes, "awards", or such groups. Because of that, Comment codes, "Awards" and invitations in such groups will be deleted. There is an Explanation at my profile.
So, if you want to say something about my photo, it will be really appreciated, no matter if it's about liking or some constructive criticism. Your own thoughts and words will mean much more to me than a universal-text.
Also please don't post pictures in the commenting-area. You could post them much better in your own photo stream. ;-D

Thanks indeed everyone for your personal comments and also your support from selected groups.
Awards are encouraging and especially from those that add my work to their 'faves'.

Onboard a modern sailing ship
Rigging is divided into two classes, standing, which supports the mast (and bowsprit), and running, which controls the orientation of the sails and their degree of reefing. Configurations differ for each type of rigging, between fore-and-aft rigged vessels and square-rigged vessels.

We came across this juvenile Black-Crowned Night-Heron while visiting Circle B Bar Reserve near, Lakeland, Florida. As an adult he will reach 25 inches (64 cm) from beak-tip to tail-tip and here he is already quite large as he waits patiently.
Close up of Grandson's fingers in action on his wooden board with holes for threading screws, nuts & bolts. A fun learning activity for kids, especially ones whose Dad is an Architect.

Why do we publish our work on Flickr? Isn't it because we like it, even are proud of it? Just a thought....

With new each image I will mention one of my very favorite Flicker photographers. These are not in any order except for chronologically - how could one possibly rank such different artists?

First you need a run in the water, then you need to break away from it and pick up your feet.
Thank you all for visits, favs and comments! It's greatly appreciated.
First week or so they are a little clumsy ...doesn't take them long to fly like the F-22 Raptor !
Thank you very much for your kind comments, favorites and looking
Love to watch spring cubs learning the ropes by their very protective mamas. This sow took her cubs along with her primarily for safety, but learning is always in play. Boars in the area don't always play nice, so she wants to keep them close by her side.
