Learn To Fly
By: Foo Fighters
Run and tell all of the angels
This could take all night
Think I need a devil to help me get things right
Hook me up a new revolution
Cause this one is a lie
We sat around laughing and watched the last one die
[chorus]
I'm looking to the sky to save me
Looking for a sign of life
Looking for something to help me burn out bright
I'm looking for a complication
Looking cause I'm tired of lying (trying)
Make my way back home when I learn to fly
I think I'm done nursing the patience
It can wait one night
I'd give it all away if you give me one last try
We'll live happily ever trapped if you just save my life
Run and tell all the angels that everything is alright. . .
[chorus]
Fly along with me, I can't quite make it alone
Try and make this life my own
[chorus X2]

Flying just out to sea in a PA28 to get a better view of Scarborough on the Yorkshire coast as part of a flight around Yorkshire from Sheffield. The low level clouds were just starting to encroach so I arrived there just in time to take this picture.

Learn to fly, it's real fun.
One, two, three, and it's all done.
Do what I say, say what I do,
'Cause I'm gonna teach it to you.
Put the left one over there,
And make it sort of sway.
Now wave the other in the air,
And soon you're on your way.
Now take a step before you start,
And don't be scared to try.
Just take a breath straight from the heart.
Now go ahead and fly.
And you can fly to the sky.
You can fly if you try.
Learn to fly, it's real fun.
One, two, three, and it's all done.
Do what I say, say what I do,
'Cause I'm gonna teach it to you.
If you can't go straight ahead,
Put that thing behind.
And if it starts to drag instead,
Don't pay it any mind.
All you've really got to do,
Is take off at the start.
And after that the other stuff,
Will be the easy part.
You can fly to the sky.
You can fly if you try.
You can fly to the sky.
You can fly if you try.
Now, one was great and two was good,
But three was not so hot.
Just be a buddy, if you would,
And do it like you're taught.
Try to make a fancy thing,
When you take off this time.
See if you can fly a ring,
As you begin to climb.
You can fly to the sky.
You can fly if you try.
You can fly to the sky.
You can fly if you try.
