Ten tips for moonshot takers

(1) Aim for 10X, not 10%

(2) Fall in love with the problem

(3) Make contact with the real world early

(4) Fuel creativity with diverse team

(5) Tackle the monkey first: it’s almost always best to take on the hardest, most important part of the problem first.

(6) Embrace failure(x) learning

(7) Become a chaos pilot: rather than shy away from the uncertainty, it’s best to just embrace it.

(8) Learn to love “v0.crap” : rather than waste time trying to perfect something right off the bat, learn to love the earliest, scrappiest version of your work that you can get honest, open feedback on.

(9) Shift your perspective

(10) Take the long view

yeah, that oughta do it.

Another sleepless night, so I decided to learn something, do a little physical activity. I went to youtube searching for some choreo to learn, and found this because I love the Queen song.

This particular dance took me about 20 minutes to really nail down because of the turn. Plus this is a video without instructions, so I had to teach myself, A!

Let me mention, those are 4 inch heels I'm cutting a rug in for challenge. I practiced in them this morning, dancing for about an hour to this choreo and another video instead of do my usual workout for today, and my feet are dying...dying. Anyway, here is the vid. If you want to see the original, you can see it on youtube here: youtu.be/-wiZQYZl8EY My favorite dancer is the guy on video far left. I've since viewed a few more of this groups videos and the poor darling has no sort of connection with his feet and hips. This is an intermediate class, I would think generally you'd need to have some sort of connection with the body by the time you hit this level, but who am I to stomp on anyone's need to just have fun. Hell, I don't look that great here either!

We were lucky enough to see the endangered Island Fox.

These creatures were brought to near extinction on the lslands by their main predator the Golden Eagle. Years ago as a result of the near extinction of the Bald Eagle, the Golden Eagle numbers grew higher and their main prey was the Island Fox.

This young fox came upon us just as we were headed for the boat going back to the mainland. I didn't have time to change lenses so I had to edit these pics. The top photo the fox was crossing the road right in front of about 4 or 5 of us who were lucky enough to be at the right place, right time. A small truck had just driven across the road behind the fox, thus kicking up dust that the wind blew across and almost completely blocked out the fox. I'm surprised I was able to edit the photo enough where you can actually see the fox.

The Island Fox was federally listed as endangered in 2004.

PLEASE visit this website to learn how people are fighting to save this beautiful creature.

Scientific Name

Urocyon littoralis

Introduction

The island fox only lives on six of the eight Channel Islands off the coast of southern California--they are found nowhere else on Earth. Each island population is recognized as a separate endemic or unique subspecies.

In 1999, Channel Islands National Park began an island fox recovery program that included captive breeding and reintroduction of foxes, removal of resident golden eagles, re-establishment of bald eagles, and removal of non-native ungulates.

via Tumblr bit.ly/16N0hbu Learn to Use Weightlifting Wrist Straps for Heavy Weights: Learn to Use Weightlifting Wrist Straps for Heavy Weights Learn to Use Weightlifting Wrist Straps for Heavy Weights Weightlifting wrist straps by riptoned.com - Discover the best ways to correctly use lifting straps from Kevin Weiss of Body Performance personal fitness training Hello thereKevin Weiss from Body Performance personal fitness training, in the last 30 years of being a competitive bodybuilder both on the national and world stage as well as being a.competitive powerlifter I have actually learned a thing or 2 about what works and what doesn’t.The last thing you want when you’re dealing with a heavy weight whether it’s with deadlifts, rows, pull-ups, pull-downs or any other thing like that where your grip may become a factor is your grip to slip on you so today I am going to tell you about something I have actually made use of for many years and a fantastic weightlifting product that actually is going to help you in reaching your goals. So the product I want to share with you is the Rip Toned weightlifting padded wrist straps and I just want to offer you a very quick tutorial of the steps to correctly use these lifting workout straps.1. The 1st step that you’re going to do is you’re going to find the loop on the end of the lifting straps.2. Slide the other end through the loop.3. Then move the weightlifting strap onto your hand so the other end is hanging down your palm, you don’t want it this way over top. As well you don’t want it to be up on your wrist cause that’s not going to support everything down onto your hand.4. Tighten it up like this … and that’s ready to go.5. Now I will show you how to wrap the strap around the bar to get the tightest grip possible.6. So your starting position for this step is close to the bar with your wrist strap going underneath, don’t go overtop like this you’ll still have the ability to wrap it around like that but you’re.not going to get a tight grip this way.7. Put it underneath the same way your thumb would go underneath, you can push the lifting strap end underneath then get it on the back side with your fingers like this and pull it until it is tight.8. Now that you have it like this it’s an easy exercise of just flipping it over multiple times… if you really want to keep it tight what works great is that you do similar to a motorcycle grip or a motorcycle throttle twist it … bring it … pull it … twist it … you’re good to go.9. Then you just simply duplicate that with your other hand.Easy as that … now using Rip Toned padded weightlifting straps I have a good grip that’s not going to slip out of my hands at any point in time. All right so that’s all there is to it … real easy product and it will make a big difference in any workouts where your grip is going to be an issue.I’m Kevin Weiss from Body Performance online coaching have an excellent day.Click the link below for more information on RipToned weightlifting wrist straps for both men and women bodybuilders and powerlifters.http://bit.ly/1a7Brbs. via Blogger bit.ly/17rB0U4 via Tumblr bit.ly/1eLT7qw
