In our recent spate of bad rainstorms, when many tall trees came down and were uprooted, this little tree hung on and came through the storm without any visible damage! It's a favorite on my walking trail.

I believe it's a cypress of some type.

It was windy. See the whitecaps!

The red bridge in Miyazu Gardens is rather captivating no matter what way I look at it.

A Green Anole peeks over the edge of a leaf, looking for insects to eat. I spent about two hours with these little lizards in my sister's back yard in Jacksonville, Florida when visiting last year (2019). Very happy with some of my captures :)

Green Anoles average about 4 inches in body size, with their tails extending another 4 inches. While the lizard above appears quite large, it is due to the perspective of my macro lens magnification, and the close proximity of the lens to the animal.

In order to get this close without spooking it and having it scurry away, it required a very patient stalking technique involving slow movement, quiet presence, and muscles in my arms and hands that often quivered uncontrollably due to holding my heavy gear for such extended handheld sessions! Actually surprising that ANY of my images were sharp, lol.

The most prominent temple is Wat Paramai Yikawat, an ancient Mon temple on the banks of the Chao Phraya river. The most notable thing of this temple is a leaning white Mon style chedi at the corner of the island where the Chao Phraya river and Lat-Kret with Om-Kret meet. It is considered a landmark of Ko Kret.

One of the first edits from my day finding and photographing the Oak trees and other various trees in the rolling hills of California just north of San Francisco. The skies were completely clear, so black and white was the theme for the day.

if it weren't for the trees, this joint would be flat.

An interesting tree grows on a farm near the edge of the rain forest outside the village of Volcano in Hawaii.

This tree leans into the water but seems to be in good shape. Note the bench. HBM!
