A wonderful day for a walk, clear blue skies, warm sun. This is a path across the fields heading south east from Paris Wood.
this is a long exposure sunset taken down mount eliza. was another last minute decision to go out but was glad I did in the end. and I was lucky enough to see a lightening storm on the opposite end of the bay. will have to see how the images turned out, and if you have time, please take a look at my other photos and tell me what you think :) have a good day.

Following the path towards the light
That shines down rays, so very bright
Below the clouds, above the ground
Illuminating the land all around
In the future, that shines bright
At the end of the path leading to the light
This is an old film scanned that i thought to edit while i had a bit of time. It took ages to remove all the small dust and particles.
probably because i didn't really look after the film because i wasn't a massive fan of this shot.
I like these posts in the water, resisting the waves crashing into them, and leading to water.
Taken yesterday just half a mile from my home on my little Canon M50 mirrorless camera. Because of Covid restrictions, we are not allowed to travel out of our immediate area.

The Byron Bay Light house, New South Wales, Australia. I seem to have quite a collection of light house shot from this holiday. I loved the interesting sky.
Last night as we were just finishing up dinner, my son commented on the sky about how ominous this storm looked. Living very close to the foothills, we can look out over the plains and see some incredible cloud formations and storms as they push their way east. Last night's show was near the top of the list!

An endless maze of geometry and light, leading back into each other, melting into a sea of reflections.
This is the façade of a local high-rise office building. I've passed by this building countless times over the past 5 years without giving it a second though, but this time, with my camera in hand and loaded with a test roll of Adox Color Mission, the reflected colors looked beautiful. And so, for the first time, I took a photo of it.

Lens: f1.4/50 Zeiss Planar T*

All the seasonal feels are present in Northeast Mississippi - of all places - in the week leading up to Christmas. 4 geeps of various flavors power this southbound monster out of Corinth. The West Tennessee RR has added a healthy cut of hoppers to the normally large Artesia Sub turn. This Wednesday version of the turn has just finished working the north end of Booneville and is passing the former depot in town. Holiday lights adorn the main overpass in downtown as the big celebration is only 5 more days away. It seemed like every town had their own flavor of how to celebrate Christmas, and surprisingly made me feel in touch with the season. Simple light displays, to full on corporate Coca-Cola backed productions in Corinth - everyone had a little bit of something to remind your December 25th was quickly approaching.
These yearlings followed their mother down from the top of the falls, traversing this large rock in the middle and to the lower river bed.

Nothing at all fancy about this image. Standard NS power leading a stack train as it splits a set of modern Vader signals. Except, what would be extremely normal for some was extraordinary for me. Even though this is part of the Norfold Southern Chicago Line, this is actually the Dearborn Division in Port Clinton, Ohio. And this was my first, and only, Dearborn Division train to date.
You see, I was in Port Clinton in October 2019 as part of a Lake Erie lighthouse tour. We could hear trains traveling throughout all hours of the day and night, so on the last morning I went out to investigate. I found a quiet morning on the Chicago Sub, but as I walked back to the hotel, I heard this train in the distance. So I made a hasty pace back to the nearest crossing, S. Shirley Rd, and managed to catch this eastbound stacker just before it split the signals. Not perfect, not spectacular, but something I can add to my travels.

Direct Rail Services (DRS) 66422 is seen on the rear of the 6Z68 1330 Long Marston to the Mid-Norfolk Railway, with Transpennine Express 68026 'Enterprise' leading.
A cool little flock of lighthouses I found in a 2nd shop. They all had clips on small chains screwed into the top (I took them out). I think they might be tablecloth weights. Anyone have any other ideas?
Taken for Macro Mondays 'In A Row' theme (7-10-2019). HMM :-)

After receiving a heads up NS 5202 was leading NS P75, myself and my friend Alex shot down the R-Line to Monetta, SC where we caught up with them just before running around their train and heading back to Columbia. I believe this may have been my first time seeing a high-hood leading a "mainline" train out on the main. And could very well be my last too.
