Due to eye disease, I'll have to avoid using any electronic devices for the time being. Of course I'll still try my best to admire your fine works. Wish you all a splendid weekend, my dear friends! Happy Friday!

由於眼睛長期過度疲累,最近要接受治療,無法即時欣賞您好圖佳作要向您致歉了,感恩您一直的鼓勵和指導,周末愉快我的好友們!

Miss Mallard Duck yells encouragement to the drakes following her at Bushy Park pond

A hilltop in the middle of a large city in the early evening. To the left, near one of the trees, if you squint you can see the image of a statue. Pioneer Mother is “A memorial to mothers who made the arduous trip west to seek better lives for their families, the 13-foot bronze statue depicts a woman perched sidesaddle on a mount, holding an infant, her expression reflecting grim determination and exhaustion. She is flanked by two men with rifles and a weary pack horse.” Can you guess where this statue is located? Maybe somewhere near a famous trail leading settlers to the west?

The lady calls the tune.....a mallard duck takes the leading role in this mating game with two mallard drakes. Bushy Park, spring, 2016

This little fellow has chosen my terrace as residency and seems to like it there. I hope she'll forgive me for spreading a mist of water on her web for the sake of getting a nice picture. 😊

Could not resist taking this view vertical with the leading line heading into the Grand Canyon. One cool bench there.

Happy Bench Monday!

Playing with composition in this good location....a shame the fields are potatoes and not Lavender.....but more useful!

This is the Museum Küppersmühle (MKM) in Duisburg which was a former industrial mill and it is been transformed now into an art museum. This was done by the same architects which transformed the Modern Tate in London, Herzog & de Meuron.

Colors are a blaze in Rhinebeck N.Y

George Willet told them their colour would be richer if they stood more in the sunlight, but no one was listening, ... again!

This photo is from an April trip to the Oceano Dunes, no footprints after a lot of wind.

Fantastic conditions this morning at the beach of IJmuiden. Briefly the sun was shining. You can imagine I was happy to be just out of reach for the rain that was clearly falling in the background.

I love the leading line on this one! It just seemed to catch my eye when I was going through the archives! I don't know if that was intentional, or just luck! ha! It was too long ago for me to remember! Sometimes I actually get things right! haha!

This is out in the fields at Roozengaarde. Like my previous post stated, both Roozengaarde and Tulip Town have fields and gardens; they each just are more prominent in one over the other. Roozengaarde's fields have the mountains as a backdrop, whereas the backdrop for Tulip Town are the barns. Well, Tulip Town you can see hills, but they're not so prominent.

Hope you all enjoy!

Fallen leaves covered this field leading up to the trees.

A Sierra wave cloud positioned over the Mono Craters and tufa towers of Mono Lake in early December.

A quiet forest scene in the hills of Ariège, France. The ground is bare—just soil and scattered rocks—leading into a stand of tall trees. Some are leafless, others sparse, all softened by a thick morning fog. The mist obscures the background, creating a layered depth and a sense of stillness. No human trace, just the raw geometry of trunks and branches fading into silence. A transitional moment in nature, caught between clarity and disappearance.
