Notice that a couple horses in the photo have on horse masks, a unique visual art form created by Native American artists. Masks were usually used for parades or ceremonies, not for battle, because they limited a horse’s range of vision. The art still thrives today. I got to see some truly outstanding examples of horse masks at a recent exhibition called “A Song for the Horse Nation” at the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C. When the Indians were wild people, eagles’ feathers could be worn only by those who had done a certain brave deed. A war bonnet could be worn by a man who had won ten battles. A warrior might wear one with long, trailing plumes if he were a leader the Indians liked to follow. Other braves could wear feathers, but not eagles’ feathers or war bonnets.”

Dù chỉ mới bước qua tuổi 20, trong khi những cô bạn cùng tuổi đang tận hưởng khoảng thời gian vui vẻ ở trường đại học thì Taeyeon đã phải đeo quân hàm trên vai và mang những đôi boot “đi vào vùng chiến” (người viết đang nói về concept Genie để nói về trách nhiệm nặng nề của Taeyeon).
2009 là năm của SNSD, và mỗi ngày những cô gái của chúng ta lại đứng ở một vị trí cao hơn, họ đã ở trên đỉnh cao nhất, và tất nhiên là những giải thưởng đã chứng minh điều đó, nhưng họ cũng trải qua nước mắt, những vết bầm tím và kiệt sức để tìm kiếm những danh hiệu đó và còn nhiều hơn nữa.
Tôi nghĩ rằng nếu một người bình thường như chúng ta mà thử sống với thời khóa biểu như của 9 cô gái ấy trong 1 tuần thì 99,999…% trong số chúng ta sẽ muốn quăng cái khăn tập,hoặc “bắn bỏ” người quản lý của SM ngay, tùy coi cái nào gần tầm tay hơn.
Đó là 1 dạng áp lực, thường thì những đứa trẻ ít khi được trải qua thời niên thiếu của mình… điều duy nhất được cho phép là sự hỗ trợ của gia đình, bạn bè và quan trọng nhất là chính bản thân mình.
Bên cạnh sức lực của mỗi người, thì phần còn lại của s9 là sự nương tựa vào nhau, nhưng Taeyeon thì không thể dựa vào ai cả. Đơn giản là cô ấy không thể, bởi vì 1 nhà lãnh đạo thì không thể dựa dẫm. Và thật sự là có thể bạn không nhìn thấy được Taeyeon suy nghĩ như thế nào, cái cách mà cô ấy tư duy về mọi việc, đúng không?
Cô ấy cảm thấy cô độc, công thêm việc sống ở Seoul xa gia đình 9 tiếng đi xe, cô ấy đã bắt đầu mọi thứ như thế từ lâu lắm rồi bạn ạh, nhưng tại sao bây giờ cô ấy mới cảm thấy mệt mỏi?

Mỗi ngày s9 có 5’ để nói chuyện, nói tất cả mọi chuyện vui hay không vui về nhau, hay chỉ đơn giản là nói chuyện cùng nhau. Nhưng một ngày các thành viên khác nói với Taeyeon rằng cô ấy ngày càng ít nói và trở lên trầm lặng hơn, rồi Taeyeon đã khóc. Cô muốn mở lòng mình nhiều hơn, muốn nương tựa vào s8, nhưng cô không thể cất nên lời, chính điều đó khiến cô khổ sở và rất rất mệt mỏi. Một Leader thì không được khóc, và cô cố gắng giấu những giọt nước mắt trước mặt s8 nhưng cô thấy mình trơ trọi, và sau đó Kid Leader của chúng ra chạy về phòng và khóc nức nở.
SooYoung dẫn Taeyeon ra và cuối cùng Taeyeon cũng đã nói ra những điều mà cô ấy suy nghĩ từ rất lâu, rằng cô ấy không muốn làm nhóm trưởng nữa. Và từ những điều mà cô ấy nói, cô ấy mong và muốn nhận từ s8 sự cảm thông và bình đẳng giữa mọi thành viên, để được ôm và động viên mà không cần phải hỏi trước. Taeyeon muốn, dù chỉ một lần được yếu đuối, được quyền nhăn mặt khi gặp phải những điều không thích ( như cách phản ứng của maknae [em út] SeoHuyn trước những tình huống khó xử). Điều Taeyeon cần là cái ôm và tình cảm, cô ấy cần chúng.
Khi mà S8 nhìn thấy Taeyeon khóc, họ phải cảm thấy sock thật sự vì trong tâm trí của họ, Taeyeon là Kid leader kiên cường, không bao giờ chịu thua. Nhưng sau khi Taeyeon nói không muốn làm leader nữa, thì họ cảm giác như là “mẹ của họ nói rằng từ bây giờ sẽ không có mẹ nữa, trách nhiệm làm mẹ này quá nặng nề”. Đương nhiên là S8 bắt đầu thấy hối hận, họ không muốn nhìn thấy một mình Tae chịu áp lực, nhưng mọi chuyện không dễ dàng như thế, khi giải tỏa lòng mình xong, thì Tae,với cái ý nghĩ bản thân phải cứng rắn cho mọi người, nghĩ là phải cứng hơn để cho S8 an tâm, như thế thì hai bên càng ngày càng trượt xa hơn…
Có phải lúc này, Taeyeon muốn bỏ cuộc? Không, tôi chưa bao giờ nghĩ như vậy, và tin rằng Taeyeon cũng thế. Có hai lý do, 1 là có 1 số ít người tự hào vì mình là người lãnh đạo, bởi vì Taeyeon tự hào về s8, đó là nơi dành cho cô và là uy tín của cô, bạn hiểu không? Khi mà bạn sống với 1 điều gì đó gần như là ¼ cuộc sống của bạn rồi, thì dần dần điều đó sẽ trở thành 1 phần của cuộc sống bạn. Thứ 2 là, she's GOOD at it ( Taeyeon thật sự rất giỏi để làm nhà lãnh đạo ). Taeyeon biết rằng mọi người biết điều đó. Kết quả là không sai, SNSD là số 1, không phải vì họ là những ca sĩ hay vũ công giỏi nhất, mà vì họ là 1.
Mỗi người có thành viên yêu thích của họ, tôi nghĩ rằng đó chỉ là vì bản chất con người, nhưng đối với tôi, tôi thích tất cả khi họ ở cạnh nhau. Bởi vì không phải tôi bằng cách nào đó không chọn đc thành viên yêu thích mà vì họ tỏa sáng nhất khi họ ở bên nhau.
Một hiện tượng như SNSD xuất hiện một cách hết sức bình thường? Đương nhiên là không, SNSD thật sự k theo lẽ thường, ý của tôi ở đây là, chúng ta có 9 cô gái xinh đẹp, giỏi giang, và mỗi người chỉ duy nhất có 1, họ không giống nhau, và chúng ta hy vọng cái kết như thế nào cho SNSD? Một gia đình bình thường như bao người khác? Điều đó không phải đơn giản.
Tôi cho rằng có nhiều người buộc tội Taeyeon vì những thất bại , về cách cô ấy là nhóm trưởng. Nhưng cô ấy đã luôn luôn sẵn lòng khi để một trong những thành viên khác có cơ hội tỏa sáng và có cơ hội lên tiếng, cô ấy tự tin, xinh đẹp một cách khó tả và hài hước. Điệu cười của cô ấy truyền nhiễm như Sunny. Tôi nhớ trên HB, cô ấy đã tự nói với bạn thân mình rằng " Bác sĩ nói rằng tớ vẫn có cơ hội cao lên, và tớ sẽ không từ bỏ cơ hội ấy đâu...". Để nói về cô ấy, chỉ có 1 từ thôi: đáng yêu. Oiz có lẻ tôi đang lạc đề ở đây.
Mỗi thành viên đều là một người thân của cô ấy, và họ biết rằng sẽ có 8 người khác nâng mình dậy khi họ ngã. Tôi hy vọng Taeyeon có thể mở lòng mình hơn, để nhận ra rằng yêu cầu được giúp đỡ không phải là một yếu điểm, và đem lại cho 8 người chị em của Taeyeon lòng tin tưởng họ đã có trong Kid leader.

Such specifics were that of the arms: technicians made them more easily able to move, putting less strain on the pilots. The new BMUs were put into mass production after passing inspection from high ranking leaders of the Foundation."

I tweaked it up a little bit. The arms can now do a full 90 degree lift up sideways and are much more pose able. It's a little hard to explain, but just trust me on that ;D

Leader Challenger at HCVC Sandown display day Nov 2008. Leader trucks were built in Brisbane, this one is Detroit powered and has a fibreglass cab. Bonnetted leaders were fairly rare, most were cab over.

Necromunda Figures. I thought it time I got off my ass and finished these guys off... Going to be using them for both Necromunda and as a TNT (This is Not a Test) warband. No metal paints used. Simple bases, kept them simple on purpose.
Gang Leader took me a little more time to do than the others, more because of his axe. I was going to make it glow, but then I thought, nah, this is meant to be an underhive gang ETC... I like the face, I'm not that good at painting flesh... ^_^

Yesterday, Sunday 10 July, saw people of all ages and backgrounds take part in the annual Walking Rainbow event in Bury.
The walk - organized by local young people - aims to celebrate diversity, promote equality, inclusion and say ‘no’ to homophobia and all forms of discrimination.
The young people were joined by The Mayor of Bury, Cllr Mike Connolly; Tony Lloyd, Police and Crime Commissioner for Greater Manchester; Cllr Rishi Shori, leader of Bury Council; Mike Owen, the council’s chief executive and Liaqat Ali from the Qadria Jilania Islamic Centre and Cultural Association in Bury.
Greater Manchester Police’s Superintendent Rick Jackson represented the Force along with members of the local policing team.
The walk began at Bury Town Hall before making its way around the town and ending with speeches in Kay Gardens.
The event was organised by Bury’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning (LGBTQ) Youth Group and supported by Bury Youth Cabinet, Bury Council, Greater Manchester Police, Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue, Foundation Events, The Lesbian and Gay Foundation, Manchester Pride, Gaydio, Streetwise, Unison and others.

This is the only authenticated norse settlement in North America and is the first cultural site in the world to be inscribed upon the UNESCO World Heritage List.
