The keel-billed toucan (Ramphastos sulfuratus), also known as sulfur-breasted toucan, keel toucan, or rainbow-billed toucan, is a colorful Latin American member of the toucan family. It is the national bird of Belize.The species is found in tropical jungles from southern Mexico to Colombia. It is an omnivorous forest bird that feeds on fruits, seeds, insects, invertebrates, lizards, snakes, and small birds and their eggs.

We walked past this on our Good Friday walk from Postbridge through Bellever Forest. Doesn't look like a working farm anymore and the farmhouse further along has boarded up windows.
The farm has been there since 1733 and is in an abandoned state, however living here would be quite a remote existence.
Although I have geotagged this image, it is a relative approximation.
Although doing a "365" is not for everyone, for those that do enjoy it, there is a real sense of satisfaction when number 365 comes around. This is my sincere congrats to all of you in this global community for your significant achievement – you've inspired me, made me smile and laugh, taught me about and showed me new parts of the world, invited me into your journey, pulled at my heart-strings, and given me much to be thankful for.... Wow, 100 music pictures. What started as a little bet between friends a year ago now is one of my favorite past times. And Who knew a cynical old bat like me likes so many songs? And there are still more to come, I haven't barely touched my most favorite artists. But this spot on my list was always reserved for exactly this song!
This is my all time favorite. A simple melody, direct and from the heart lyric that describe perfectly what love is for me. Thank you John Denver for making me dream and hope and keep smiling. You had the heart of a true poet and we miss you.

..I cannot tell you how much fun I had the other morning when I threw a handful of dandelion seeds into the frozen birdbath. My husband gave up waiting to have breakfast with me;)
I have decided that ~ Christian~ thinks I am into lifting weights. ☺

There are certain spiders that have a lot of patience and lay in wait for tasty morsels to land in his web. These tasty treats are ususally plump, vunerable, and may have a low self worth. The Spider takes his sweet time and lures them in with niceties, laughter, and interest in their prey. Yet, as he talks to you, he delicately wraps his web around your neck.
"Come closer." He whispers. "Come closer for a kiss" He teases.
He tells his self that he is doing these vunable treats a favor. They need me!
Don't be fooled, Ladies. He is handsome, charming, talented, and knows exactly what he wants. He wants to dine on his next victim. He made you feel seen and special for a time, yet as soon as he steals his kiss , he is on to the next victim. Unbeknownst to you....he already had another victim lined up behind your back. Honey, you are just one in the many. You are nothing special. You are only a snack for his selfish desires.
He took everything he could from you and sucked you dry and now on to the next!
Beware of these Spiders, Ladies.

I ran down to the beach, which probably was not the brightest of my own ideas as it was icy, cold, and it was early in the morning. At this point I didn't care. I prayed that the Lord would paint the sky and I was not about to miss the beauty He had in store. I set up my equipment as quick as possible and kicked my legs out on the beach and shot picture after picture and just sat there and laughed. I laughed in joy with the Lord and I will forever remember how special this morning was! He is so good and full of beautiful surprises for His children and for the brokenhearted in the world. I am so thankful that God is infinite as it means I can spend the rest of my life discovering sweet and amazing truths about Him and yet there will still be more to find!
Today is the 12th day of Valentine's month of February; I must include laughter in my February love group. Laughter keeps one younger, lightens up everyone's mood, and can change the direction of the general mood from a sad, gloomy one to a happy and joyous one. Laughter in itself is a kind of medicine, one that we cannot live without!

This is my favorite quote from a book I read this year by David Yoon entitled Frankly in Love about young forbidden love first between a Korean American boy and a white girl at his school and then oddly between two Korean Americans..it's about friction within the culture...it's about a stubborness that refuses to take a break and it's about terminal illness too...and friendship...and sexual orientation as well just a bit.
It's complicated.
