survived the flight :-) And now two weeks later, I'm finally getting around to the pictures. It's funny because having seen this landmark in pictures and movies and things, I figured it was a major tourist locale (like with a souvenir shop and stuff), but it really is just a quick stop: you jump out, take your pics, and jump back in ;-) It was a nice, sunny 106 degree day (hee-hee!)

Ayumi & Eric came all the way from Australia to get married in the 108 degree weather of Las Vegas! We started out at the Neon Sign Graveyard near downtown Las Vegas. I hate to admit it, but the Golden Nugget, although the finest downtown hotel, has lost all of the charm of the old days. Even the facade pales to Binion's Casino right across the street. Time marches on.
Vegas Rocks! Magazine celebrated its 5 year anniversary in front of the Las Vegas sign on August 11, 2009.
The goal was to break the world record of the most guitarists playing along to Elvis Presley's classic "Viva Las Vegas" in front of the Las Vegas sign.
