Ayumi & Eric came all the way from Australia to get married in the 108 degree weather of Las Vegas! We started out at the Neon Sign Graveyard near downtown Las Vegas. The actual wedding ceremony was held at the Bellagio, my old stomping grounds. In case you didn't know I used to be a wedding photographer at the Bellagio.

29 photos altogether. similar to a few others i've already posted, but it's a little bit closer in proximity to the sign itself. i think it turned out better.
i put it together while sitting at starbuck's today. the lady next to me was talking to a friend on the phone about how she was about to lose her job. she was also neglecting her husband as he was sitting right there in front of her sucking on his frappaccino. he bought her one and she didn't even touch it. dang. i prayed for her.

Vegas Rocks! Magazine celebrated its 5 year anniversary in front of the Las Vegas sign on August 11, 2009.
The goal was to break the world record of the most guitarists playing along to Elvis Presley's classic "Viva Las Vegas" in front of the Las Vegas sign.
The publishing queen of rock 'n roll, Sally Steele hosted the event and our own cool Mayor, Oscar Goodman even showed up to play some guitar and sing along with the rockin' Elvis impersonator that also there.

we made it all the way down to the bottom of the strip - 4+ very long, tiring miles after we started at nearly the top of it!

survived the flight :-) And now two weeks later, I'm finally getting around to the pictures. It's funny because having seen this landmark in pictures and movies and things, I figured it was a major tourist locale (like with a souvenir shop and stuff), but it really is just a quick stop: you jump out, take your pics, and jump back in ;-) It was a nice, sunny 106 degree day (hee-hee!)
