my young nephew has just discovered how the postal system work.
ie the letter goes in the post box and then in a truck and then on a plane and on another truck. Then the postman on the motor bike puts it in the mail box at home. He was facinated by the concept. He sent a letter to me (with nana's help) .
I thought he might like to get an envelope addressed to him. Not just any envelope, but one with a dinosaur drawn on it !!!!!

“Jacksonville, now fully submerged under Don Pedro Reservoir, was once one of the largest mining towns in the Mother Lode, accommodating thousands of miners.
In 1849 the town had several stores, a post office and three “luxury” hotels.
The town of Jacksonville continued to flourish as a small country town until the 1960s.
Colonel Alden Jackson arrived in the area and his name was used to name both Jacksonville and the existing city of Jackson less than 35 miles away.”
My best mate Tom and his other half Emma are due to have their baby at the end of December.
So a sort of last weekend of carnage was in order before Tom's impending fatherhod & responsibilty.
8 hardy souls journeyed to Croyde for the weekend. These 4 fella's Paul, Duncan, Algy & Phil, plus Guru & Tom all braved the cold water for a bit of surfing.
Meanwhile Jesus and I spent the weekend topping up the evenings drinking by boozing during the day & completing lego starwars on the PS2.
Though i did nip out for a brief walk along the beach and to take my photo of the day.
