Looking at the base of the wall at Tanner Springs Park in Portland, a collaboration between GreenWorks and Atelier Dreiseitl. Here we see 'natural' water with beautifully complicated reflections in the water!
The steel here is a site memory, old rails from the railroad used as a wall.
Project includes brick patio, walls, steps, and walkways in Virginia Village Tudor Brick; new plantings in front and rear; lighting.

Rock with the blues and greens of minerals such as turquoise, malachite and chrysocolla cover surfaces on rock spoils coming out of local copper mines. These rock are popular as used in landscape decoration in my part of southern Arizona. I hand picked some of the rock in my yard and have noticed that the amount of these minerals has actually grown on exposed surfaces over time.

Thanks to Flickr-friend, army.arch *Adam*, for doing the research on this, putting it into context!
"The answer is...landscape architecture.

The original 1959 Lawrence Halprin designed landscape was reworked (extensively) in 2005. Those are guardrails, 'Sloping Guardrail. The sculptural guardrail protects people from a 15 foot drop to basement lightwell, and extends along ramps to form a boundary on each side of the plaza. It is a variation on a standard picket fence in that there are two picket types attached to horizontal steel rails and posts attached to a sloping battered wall.'"

A first try with the brandnew Sony Alpha 77-II, at ISO 2500, with the Sigma 10-20mm @ f/3,5, 1/20 second hand held. It's a camera's jpg, with the shadows quite brightened up in Adobe Camera Raw. Not a splendid image, and there IS noise, but at least colors don't loose much at higher ISOs. I'd say, it works :)
Dancing Ganesha On Snake Statue 2ft
This statue is carefully handmade of best-quality black stone, rendering it extremely durable and long-lasting. The statue is polished and the carvings done on the statue are completely defined and clear. The statue is perfect for any indoor or outdoor placement.
The black stone dancing Ganesha on snake statue depicts the Hindu deity Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, in a jubilant dancing stance atop a coiled snake. The statue, made of black stone, is embellished with exquisite embellishments and profound meaning. The snake on which he is dancing signifies kundalini energy, which represents control over wants and fear. The statue is a prominent kind of sacred art in Hinduism, and individuals who keep it in their homes or set it in temples are said to get blessings of pleasure, success, and protection.

Green roofs are a great way to increase green space while still allowing for development to take place. Birds can use green roofs as habitat for foraging and nesting, while the vegetative cover also serves as excellent building insulation.
