I love the colours of the wings on the Greater-spotted woodpecker.

Back when I took this sunrise shot at Schwabacher Landing, I didn't think it was good enough to publish. However, I've changed my mind now! I actually really like the discreet line of light we got on the mountain. That was the only light we got that morning.

Experimenting a bit with the Sony A7R4 and 200-600mm. Definitely need slightly different settings/defaults in LR, but that's always been the case in my experience.

I thought I had lost all my photos of Jackson Hole area from 2011 trip after my external hard drive died. Found the forgotten portable external hard drive yesterday that I used while in Wyoming, and all the photos were there. This pic was taken on the 2nd day at Schwabacher Landing, and had been closed to the public in 2013. So happy to have these pics.

I was with my friend Ben and his family… they were loving the trip around NZ for sure. I got this photo of Ben as he was walking along the beach… it was a windy and wild day and the waves were super intense. In fact, when we got back in the helicopter, a huge wave came and washed up under the chopper!

Bald Eagle landing. Fraser Valley, British Columbia, Canada

From my newly built hide in the garden, I was able to get fairly close to the wee birdies, and although I'm completely out of my comfort zone and still struggling with shutter speeds (yes, I know I should have had a faster setting), I will not stop practising lol

I just loved how the seeds flew up as this little guy flapped his wings furiously before he landed in the middle of them :)

Small fly on a nettle. Simple but thought it worked well.

Carried the Sony today when Paragliding. Caught this image as I was packing up after flying from Engelberg and landing in Wolfenschiessen.

Shot with D90 + 50mm reverse lens + SB400 + DIY Diffuser . Location : Kota Damansara Community Forest.

Altered Shoreline

I got the whole series of this landing, but decided to post this one first. Loved his graceful position and the reflection of the autumn trees in the water. His wings also picked up the water reflection.

While I was stalking a pair of blue-winged teal ducks trying to start the family, the flock of western sandpipers landed almost literally by my feet... @ Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve
