There was a time when most of the locals would not pay attention to the visitors (aka tourists). They would go about their daily routines like catching fish near the lake shore. Nowadays children like this young T'boli kid would go to where the tourists are (lake side cottages that would be overflowing with tourists at lunch time) and prod them to throw coins into the water. The kids would then dive into the lake to retrieve the coins, much to the delight of the crowd.

here's a view of the second falls of lake sebu from a higher vantage point. the high contrast conditions make the flares inevitable but i think it adds to the surreal quality of the falls. taken during our lake sebu, cotabato trip.
