Im Labyrinth kann man sich nicht verlaufen wie im Irrgarten, weil der Weg keine Abzweigungen und Kreuzungen hat, sondern auf gewundene Weise zum Mittelpunkt führt.
Mehr braucht man zu Labyrinthen nicht sagen, findet Heike Habl, geb.1966 und wohnhaft in Pfaffenhofen. Die Leidenschaft Labyrinthe zu malen, entwickelte sie nach einer Erfahrung in dem begehbaren Labyrinth von Kloster Siessen im Allgäu.
Die Ergebnisse dieser Leidenschaft in Acryl auf Leinwand, sind vom 22. bis 30. Januar in der Städtischen Galerie Pfaffenhofen, im Haus der Begegnung zu bewundern. Der Titel "Labyrinth IV" zählt lediglich die Anzahl der größeren Ausstellungen, genau so wie die Arbeiten nummeriert sind. So viel es über Labyrinthe zu sagen und schreiben gäbe, so wenig wird erwähnt. Der Weg im Labyrinth erlaubt keinen Konjunktiv, er findet statt, so wie sich die Kunst des Malens desselben, dem Betrachter vor der fertigen Leinwand eröffnet. Pan's Labyrinth is set in a rural part of Spain during the reign of Francisco Franco. However, the majority of the movie takes place in a house owned by the fascist, Captain Vidal, which creates an intentionally claustrophobic feeling. The only people that are allowed to move around at all are the anti-fascism rebels who maintain different camps in the forest. In this shot, it is easy to see that the forest is very close to the house, giving the impression that it is slowly marching to consume it (as it finally does when the rebels demolish the house at the end of the movie). The woods are also encircling, providing no escape from their presence, no matter what direction the camera is facing. The house on the other hand is a marker of civilization. It is in an area clear of trees, flanked with uniformed guards, and rather grandly proportioned for the location. However, it looks beleaguered, with the bricks unevenly arranged and dusty from age.
The meaning of the woods and house is revealed by Del Toro's placement of important locations. The rebels and the labyrinth, occupy the woods where danger, hope, and magic intermingle. The fascists and adults occupy the house, clinging to the "real" world and its "laws."

In the middle of Canton, CN, just besides of the "City of Computers" there lies the ancient and mysterious place called the Labyrinth.
Or at least I saw it as a mysterious one. It is amazing how strange and at this same time interesting such a place may be.
Rathausgalerie. Anton-Wetterer-Straße/Marktplatz/Babette-Ihle-Straße. Hier entsteht das Labyrinth in Anlehnung an das große Labyrinth in der Kathedrale von Chartres. Städtische Mitarbeiter bei den Vorbereitungen.

Über das Labyrinth von Chartes heißt es: "Es ist ein Weg der sich über 34 Kehren, durch 11 konzentrische Kreise zum Zentrum windet und 265,50 m lang ist. Er misst 9 Meter im Durchmesser. In diesem Labyrinth steckt klar das uralte Wissen der Priester über die Schwierigkeiten, die wir Menschen auf dem Weg in unser Innerstes zu bewältigen haben." www.wieobensounten.de/diff/chartres.html
Labyrinthe dieser Art sind geprägt von Geschichten voller Mystik. Die 34 Kehren sind geeignet, Zauderer und unentschlossene Menschen vom eigentlichen Ziel abzubringen. Als Zentrum wird nicht nur unser Innerstes gesehen, sondern beispielsweise auch das himmlische Jerusalem, das Ziel unseres Erdenwegs.
Bislang haben die Bruchsaler das rätselhafte Labyrinth gut angenommen. Ich konnte nicht heraus bekommen, von wem der Vorschlag stammt. Anscheinend ist die Idee nicht neu und wurde im Zusammenhang mit dem viel zu großen Platz vor dem Rathaus, dem Marktplatz, vor einiger Zeit schon einmal diskutiert.

Awesome labyrinth in Fairfax, CA that is tended by a group of anonymous folks including me. Every day there are different offerings in the center. I was there with my dog and some people had discovered it by accident and as they walked it they started crying because it was such a special thing to find.
