My new puppy. I just got her today. She is six weeks old and for the moment does not have a name yet
La Laguna de Labradores es un lugar impresionante, que resalta su agua azul en medio de una tierra agotada por el clima extremo. Existe la teoría que el agua de esta laguna se conecta con el agua del Pozo de Gavilanes ahí mismo en Galena... hasta ahora incomprobable. El hecho es que es un lugar muy bonito.
El Cerro del Potosí sirve de telon de fondo, el punto mas alto del estado con sus casi 3500msnm.

Rahni is sitting right in front of my computer, wonder if she is trying to tell me i spend way to much time on flickr...& she is giving me that look.... that labs are great at.
I'm ok now, but I'll tell you briefly what happened...
2 days ago my brother Gulliver, myself and our human dad took us for a walk. Just outside our door I was attacked by our neighboor's dog , a huge Dogue de Bordeaux that had escaped from his house. Gulliver "argued" with him a little but he caught me! Dad fell on the street trying to hold us and apart the fight. Poor Dad, he's all sore and a little bit injured also as he was wearing bermudas...
I was scared to death and just stayed quiet under that big monster. But when I saw dad pulling Gulliver away I tried to follow them and then it's when all happened... the monster grabbed my back tight and injured me... But they didn't notice my injure at once. they were too nervous... They looked me all over and didn't see anything (it was quite dark by then). The next morning though (yesterday), mom took a close look and then she found it... a big and deep cut of approx. 15cm hidden under my fur on my back!! The vet came immediately and put me to sleep and did a few stitches not to close the injury, (too many hours have passed for that) but just to help it get better sooner. She said that it had to drain during the next days,
That's why I'm wearing this awful t-shirt now, to avoid flies, to avoid me to lick it and to avoid the others to do it also. I'm also having anthibiotics twice a day...
That's my story for today... Sad, isn't it?

Agora estou bem, mas vou contar o que aconteceu comigo...
2 dias atrás o papai levou eu e o Gulliver para darmos uma volta lá fora como fazemos sempre. E bem do lado de fora da nossa porta nos deparamos com o cachorro do nosso vizinho solto. O Gulliver deu uma bufada para ele, mas ele atacou a mim! O papai caiu na rua tentando apartar a briga e nos segurar... pobre papai, ele está todo dolorido agora e ralado já que estava usando bermuda!
Eu estava apavorado e fiquei quietinho embaixo daquele monstro... mas quando vi o papai puxando o Gulliver e amarrando ele na porta de casa para poder me ajudar, achei que ele estava indo embora e me largando lá e tentei sair debaixo do monstro e foi quando tudo aconteceu... ele me segurou pelas costas firmemente e me machucou! Mas eles não viram o meu ferimento no momento, embora tenham me olhado todo. talvez porque já estava escurecendo e eles estavam muito nervosos.
Na manhã seguinte (ontem) a mamãe veio dar uma olhada mais minuciosa e foi quando ela viu... no meio de todo o meu havia um rasgo profundo de uns 15cm de largura nas minhas costas! A veterinária veio imediatamente, me anestesiou geral e me deu alguns pontos, não para fechar a ferida pois muitas horas já haviam se passado para poder fazer isso, mas para juntar a pele e carne um pouco para uma recuperação mais rápida, deixando bastante espaço para a ferida poder drenar pelos próximos dias.
É por isso que estou usando essa camiseta horrível! Para evitar que as moscas venham, evitar que eu me lamba e evitar também que os outros cães venham me lamber. Ah, e estou tomando antibiótico 2 vezes ao dia!!
É uma triste estória, não é?

Sugar loved having everyone out doors. It provided her with an unlimited amount of frisbee throwers to try to tap her unlimited energy!
