Members from 5th Canadian Division’s Arctic Response Company Group (ARCG) prepare to travel into rural Labrador, NL by Light Over Snow Vehicles (LOSV) on Exercise MAROON SOJOURN 23 held from 03-12 March 2023.

During Exercise MAROON SOJOURN 23, Canadian soldiers conduct offensive and defensive Arctic warfare tactics, Arctic survival skills, snowmobile operations, and civil-military cooperation tasks, all built around a simulated yet realistic mission in austere Arctic conditions.

Des militaires du groupe-compagnie d’intervention dans l’Arctique (GCIA) de la 5e Division du Canada se préparent à se rendre en motoneige àu Labrador rural, à Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, pour participer à l’exercice MAROON SOJOURN 23, qui se déroule du 3 au 12 mars 2023.

Au cours de l’exercice MAROON SOJOURN 23, les militaires canadiens tentent des tactiques offensives et défensives de guerre dans l’Arctique, mettent à l’épreuve des techniques de survie dans l’Arctique, mènent des opérations en motoneige et effectuent des tâches de coopération civilo-militaire. Tout est centré sur une mission simulée, mais réaliste, qui se déroule dans des conditions arctiques austères.

Woody the happy summer dog

Clicked this with my buddy's camera.. This puppy was on the side of the road trying to get free.. We didn't know what was bothering him so much.. Once we freed him it was amazing when he quietly moved to an area with shade and went to sleep.. Amazing act.. I wish I could have filmed it.. :)
