I shot these with an old vintage Nikkor 35mm f/1.4 ai-s lens. This manual focus lens isn't great for action, but is amazing for things that don't move that much. The focus ring is direct and smooth as butter and so easy to use. Without a motor to wind against, even a SWM, it's silent and great for shooting video. It's all-metal construction is bulletproof and has a great Japanese-made feel.

The layout of the laboratory must be sensibly planned and logically designed to allow smooth running of routine procedures. The main laboratory consists of designated areas for oocyte and embryo culture and for ART sperm preparation. www.shivaniivf.com
January 5, 2011 - I had a Wall-E shot in mind but it wasn't working so I ended up with just the lab equipment instead. I'll try it again another day with Wall-E in it.
These are some teeny tiny beakers, volumetric flasks, and funnels that I used to have sitting at my desk at UBC. They are adorable they are so small, just look at the volumes!
Fertility Specialist is always busy with hectic schedules from patient’s appointment, several fertility procedures to be done at clinic, maintaining and administering the clinic and many more. If anyone is providing them with ready IVF and IUI laboratory project along with hands on training for embryologist and lab technicians, it will be highly accepted by them. www.shivaniivf.com
Making our own personal Scotch blended malt whisky at Glengoyne Distillery, which we bottled and brought home. The set-up itself made the old science geek in me happy – graduated cylinders, flasks, test tubes, beakers. It was great fun! There were four women and three men in our group and it was very interesting to find out that all of us women made blends consisting of single malts # 1 and # 2 with a little bit of # 5 (in varying proportions) whereas all the men made blends from predominantly malts # 4 and # 5.

It is very tempting to touch those knobs and flip the switches. Seems so satisfying! I bet some of those knobs make a clicky sound.

The specialized equipment used in scientific research is very expensive. It does not benefit from economies of scale the same way toilet brushes do. Even though there is a tight budget for the biological sciences in general, there are a few disciplines that warrant decent budgets. Though it is a bit sexier than apple production (for instance), viticulture still suffers from budget shortfalls.
As the leader of the Viticulture Gang, Carmo is very good at gathering all sorts of disparate things together and making them work. It worked in 1976 -- it can work now.
