For my students choice, I tried another portrait drawing. This one is of my grandmother in her prime.
In this workshop students gain an introduction to Bioart, post-diciplinary art / science practice, and collaborartive methodology.
They are questioning the future of reproduction, how art and science can be a ‘portal’ to the world(s) we want to materialize and seeking ‘other’ perspectives on sex and gender. Students have an opportunity to participate in the project Organ of Radical Care: Una Matriz Colaborativa, which seeks to grow a collaborative uterus. Students design parts of the project for presentation at the ARS Electronica Festival and testing their outcomes in a form of public experimentation at the end of the workshop – this takes the form of a intervention / march through Linz from the ARS Biolab to the POSTCITY.

A fold (see tags) of sandstone in the west wall, Labouchere Pit, Glengarry basin, Western Australia. This is, despite the chaos and the poor state of the rock, the best example of isoclinal metre-wavelength folds within the Labouchere Formation sandstone facies (siltstones presenting better cleavages).

I've become fascinated by the garbage in the hallway at my workplace. I didn't plan to visit said workplace today, but when I ended up there a box full of lab glass caught my eye.

My boyfriend and I visited the Edison & Ford Winter Estates, Museum, Lab, and Gardens, which was all decorated for Christmas at the time. Sadly, we couldn't actually go into the homes, so we could only see them through half-glass doors. It's a shame because they were so wonderfully furnished and decorated.
