Visualizing trends in music popularity: Map 3 by AT&T Innovation

Researchers from AT&T Labs, Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Arizona are finding new ways to visualize dynamic data.

This is a snapshot of a music trend heat map, which shows changes on last.fm’s 250 most popular artists over time. On the heat-map, darkness of the color indicates the degree of increase in short-term popularity, while font sizes of artists correspond to long-term popularity. Labels of artists who are out of the top-250 are hidden and colored white.

Exercise Physiology Lab by Cal Poly Bailey College of Science and Mathematics

In the Exercise physiology lab students have the opportunity to measure blood lactate production during various stages of exertion during exercise. The main purpose of the lab is to examine the changes in the byproducts produced during exercise. The students are specifically comparing the variations between these byproducts in hot and cold environments. At Cal Poly College of Science & Mathematics, students apply skills they’ve learned in class and experience theories proven first hand.

Im Rahmen des GIS Day 2016 in Salzburg wurde das IDEAS:Lab des Interfakultären Fachbereichs für Geoinformatik eröffnet.

Das iDEAS:lab wird Schülern, Studierenden, Forschern, Projektpartnern aus Universitäten und Wirtschaft ebenso wie der allgemeinen Öffentlichkeit zur Verfügung stehen, um geoinformatische Technologien kennenzulernen und Geomedien-Kompetenz als Grundlage für die Digitalisierung der räumlichen Dimension unserer Lebenswelten aufzubauen.

There's been a mixup while processing my film, it seems as if they processed it at the same time with an other customer's film.. You can see the overlapping frames. very odd. The light leaks have an other cause, I've opened up the back of my camera before fully rewinding the film.
