PopTech Ecomaterials Innovation Lab
The PopTech Ecomaterials Innovation Lab convenes this summer with a goal of fostering breakthroughs in next-generation, ‘ultra-green’ ecological materials and industrial processes.
A network of renowned materials scientists, sustainability experts, industrial ecologists and other key stakeholders will explore the future of such materials and processes, and strategies for accelerating their adoption.

Assistive Technology Lab (Room 181G)
The Assistive Technology Lab, located in Butler Library’s first floor QuietQuad, houses the following equipment and software for patrons with disabilities:
Computers with Dragon NaturallySpeaking (speech-to-text software), JAWS (reads aloud electronic text from web pages), Kurzweil 3000 and scanners (allows scanning and reading aloud text from print materials), and Zoomtext (screen magnification software)
Merlin LCD, a full-color, auto-focus video magnifier system (enlarges and enhances text and images)
Large-print computer keyboard, adjustable keyboard trays to accommodate wheelchairs, and a Braille dictionary.
Engineering students work together in Hofstra University's Robotics and Advanced Manufacturing Lab.

I have boxes of all things dental lab... 3 Tropicana trays, glass slabs, mixing bowls, lines & nozzles, Kerr digital Ultra waxer with 3 tips and Kerr digital dip pot, waxes, jet acrylic many shades, stains for temps, all calibration/mounting acc. for Artex articulator, Dedeco stickies for grinder, pour flasks, plastic art. and molds, investment rings, more stuff I can't see at bottom.

Pyometra = Pus filled Uterus
This is my interesting case of the week.
The lab presented on Monday with a complaint of not eating, lethargic for the past week. WBC count was sky high.
Being intact female, and in heat a month ago, I was suspicious of an uterine infection.
Both the body and horns of the uterus were full of pus.
In a normal 50 lbs. female dog, the uterine horns would be about as big around a your finger, maybe 2 finders. Not the size of your forearm.

Rottweiler/Lab mix. We got Lexus when she was already 7 years old and weakened by untreated Lyme Disease. She was so loyal and patient for such a tough old dog, we ended up keeping her until the peaceful end almost two years later.
