Corvette C6 Z06
The Z06 arrived as a 2006 model in the third quarter of 2005. It had a new 7.0 L (7,010 cc/426.6 cu in) version of the Small-Block engine codenamed LS7, which produced 505 hp (376 kW). In addition to the larger engine, the Corvette Z06 has a dry sump oiling system, and connecting rods made out of titanium alloy. The frame of the Z06 is constructed from aluminum, saving 136 pounds over the standard steel frame. Other weight saving measures such as balsa wood/carbon fiber composite floors and a magnesium alloy engine cradle were used. For 2011 the Z06 carbon edition was introduced, which carries over multiple parts from the ZR1 including carbon ceramic brakes, active suspension, and other carbon fiber aerodynamic pieces. Most of these options can be ordered through the Z07 package on the Z06 except for the carbon edition specific hood. Only 500 Z06 Carbon Editions will be made. The Z06 officially weighed 3180 lb (1421 kg), giving it a weight to power ratio of 6.3 lb/hp (3.8 kg/kW), allowing it to achieve a fuel economy of 15 mpg-US (16 L/100 km; 18 mpg-imp) in the city and 24 mpg-US (9.8 L/100 km; 29 mpg-imp) on the highway. The Z06 was the official pace car for both the 2006 Daytona 500 and the Indianapolis 500 race.
Car and Driver recorded a 0-60 mph time of 3.6 seconds and 1/4 mile in 11.8 seconds at 122 mph in their March 2007 comparison test.

The Z/28 model features a high-performance 7.0 L LS7 V8 engine that produces 505 hp (377 kW),[28] the same engine used in the C6 Z06 Corvette. The new Z/28 features upgrades intended to improve lap times, and as with the original Z/28, air conditioning is an option. The Z/28 model retains only one speaker for the seat belt chime, the rear quarter glass has been thinned, rear seats have been thinned, and most of the sound deadening has been removed in an effort to reduce the weight of the vehicle.
I can't stick up any proper shots for the shoot, so here is one of my lighting shots :)

A long-as-hell time ago, two people died along with what little honor this city had left behind the Monarch Theater. Shortly after Monarch went bust, and the theater was left to rot. It's big, vast, many rooms to store stuff in like weapons, people, so on. Nobody goes near it either. Perfect for a terrorist to hide out in. When I arrive in the Roadblade, the angry grumble of the LS7 warning of my arrival, I knew I was right. Mostly by the bullets off it and my armor. I returned fire with my old friend the minigun, and took the rest of the firepower inside. I first mowed down the door, and kicked away whatever was left of the rotting oak. Inside it only got worse. Monarch definably went down the shitter, despite the fact that there was working electricity as the lights showed. All the seats were gone and the floor paneling damaged to hell. The gold lining on the walls was either fading or gone. And the sliver screen was dirty and torn. Below it was that giant warhead and a lineup of hostages. I noticed in the middle of the stage the mother Kinyetz shot. The fucks dragged the mother out in the open for me to see. And those fucks started shooting at me. I gave them the swift death they didn't deserve with my six barrels. I purposely left one alive, though. He stood at the edge of the stage with that horrible smile of his, his eyes just as cold as the last time. His neat gray suit replaced with cargo pants, buckles and heavy torso armor. That armor almost looked like it was one size too big. His stubbed arm now covered by a baggy sleeve and gauntlet, and a large 3 bladed claw where his hand and most of his forearm should be. His other arm, outside a glove and gauntlet, was exposed. Just by looking at that arm, I could tell he had a lean build. Not ripped by a longshot, but he definably had some muscle. Fuck, he wasn't really that big in general. And that voice...bleugh...Wait, the fuck's he doing with his hand?
"What are you?..."
"I'm applauding you. Since I only have one hand to do so, though."
"For wasting your guys?"
"Expendable accessories, nothing more. I have plenty. Some follow me out of fear and a pointless will to live, others blind devotion. All equally meaningless."
"How many people have you killed today?...."
"Enough, clearly. I was worried you wouldn't show, that you wouldn't find me. Thank you for proving me wrong. I'm glad I was right to be excited."
"Excited?! For me to rip you to fucking pieces?!"
"Haha, there it is! The famous anger and violence! And yet you put it to such a disgusting waste. Protecting the very scum you yearn to destroy."
"Do you even know what scum is?!"
"Of course. I'm surrounded by it. Drowning in it. It stares at me with a constant pointless fear. So it needs to be dealt with. Cleaned..."
"Hundreds of innocent people died today because of you! Why!?"
"Why?"
"WHY!?!?"
"Because....humanity is creation's greatest failure."
"The fuck does that mean?"
"Seriously? I need to explain this? Fine. Take a look at humanity, then and now. The simple fact is, as much as we're told nothing has changed. We still do unimaginable things to eachother. We destroy eachother because of idiotic things like race, money, and the worst of the worst, religion. And then we have the nerve to point fingers at one another. Like only one is capable of inhumanity. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what or who you are. Humanity doesn't exist. Man, woman. Rich, poor. Black, white. Gentile, Jew. Adult, child. We're all cut from the same filthy cloth. A cloth that should have been burned a long time ago."
"....You're a monster. You're a soulless, heartless monster."
"And you're a saint?"
"No...I'm your undertaker. And it's about fucking time I buried you!"
"Hmhm, very well. Let the real games begin! Mind you, I'm not an easy challenge. I've been trained by many assassins, possible the worst humanity has to offer. Throwing honor away for the pocket change of the wealthy."
"You're not trained for me."
"I hope so."

Bit sad seeing this in a way. Once a popular public house for Irish workmen in the 1970's, it was run in it's heyday by Harry O'Connor from Castlemaine, in County Kerry, and Kitty his wife from Westport, County Mayo, Republic of Ireland.
As well as Harry and Kitty there was Sheelagh and Mary their 2 daughters and a ruthless Jack Russell Terrier dog that knew no fear nor took no prisoners! He terrified bar staff and punters alike!
His Coup de Grace was closeting himself within the shadowy depths of Harry and Kitty's cellar. Needless to say anyone venturing down it, be they my dad/ someone from Tetley Brewery or the duke box company, were in for a nasty surprise! Harry's bar also staff had a habit of leaving stuff dropped on the floor until he had safely vacated the vicinity!
Following their departure it fell into slow decline and was eventually closed due to association with drug dealing.
A place of many childhood memories!
A display at the North West Museum of Road Transport. The Leyland National in its original Mark 1 form blighted my personal memory of the 1970s - it was the ‘Leyland Nazi’ in my books. Developed in conjunction with the infant National Bus Company, it entered production in 1972 and large numbers painted in dreary corporate poppy red or leaf green swamped the NBC fleets.
After trialling six early production Leyland Nationals, London Transport took substantial numbers between 1976 and 1978. The publicity photograph shows LT’s LS7 (KJD507P), the first of an order of 50 vehicles that opened the floodgates to larger-scale Leyland National operation in London.
