The fourth and final generation of the Camero was designed by John Cafaro and Charles Jordan and launched for the 1993 model year.on an updated F-body platform.
For the 1998 model year, the Camaro was revised and received a new front fascia. This replaced the quartet of square inset headlights. Replacing the LT1 was GM's all-new 5.7 L (346 ci) LS1, which had been introduced with the Corvette C5 in 1997. The all-new design featured an aluminum cylinder block with iron sleeves, reducing weight by about 95 lb (43 kg) with aluminum compared to the iron block LT1. Changes for 1999 and 2000 were largely cosmetic and 2001 saw the lowest production year for the Camaro with 29,009 units. This was partially due to production ending earlier than usual to begin work on the 35th Anniversary cars. The Z28 and SS models received the intake manifold from the LS6, the engine used in the fifth generation Corvette Z06 from 2001-2004. This change also resulted in a revised camshaft profile and removal of the EGR system. GM also introduced a new slave cylinder for the clutch assembly that was superior to the design of previous years, as well as an LS6 clutch in manual models. Accordingly, stated power ratings were increased to 310 hp (231 kW) for the Z28 and 325 hp (242 kW) for the SS which also added a power steering cooler. SLP reintroduced the RS model this year, which included rally stripes and stock cold air intake system and Z28 take-off exhaust (from their SS conversions

Chevrolet Chevelle
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"The Chevrolet Chevelle is a mid-sized automobile which was produced by Chevrolet in three generations for the 1964 through 1978 model years.
Part of the General Motors (GM) A-Body platform, the Chevelle was one of Chevrolet's most successful nameplates. Body styles include coupes, sedans, convertibles and station wagons. Super Sport versions were produced through the 1973 model year, and Lagunas from 1973 through 1976.
After a three-year absence, the El Camino was reintroduced as part of the new Chevelle lineup.
The Chevelle also provided the platform for the Monte Carlo introduced in 1970.
The Malibu, the top of the line model through 1972, replaced the Chevelle nameplate for the redesigned, downsized 1978 models."
(...)
- First generation (1964–1967).
"The Chevelle was intended to compete with the Ford Fairlane, and Plymouth Belvedere, and to return to the Chevrolet lineup a model similar in size and concept to the popular 1955-57 models." (...)
- Second generation (1968–1972).
"The 1968 Chevelle got an all-new distinctly sculpted body with tapered front fenders and a rounded beltline. The car adopted a long-hood/short-deck profile with a high rear-quarter "kick-up"."
(...)
1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454
"In 1970, sheetmetal revisions gave the bodies a more squared-up stance following the coke bottle styling, interiors were also redesigned too.
The 1970 Chevelle shared many sheet metal body parts with the 1970 Buick Skylark GSX, both are GM automobiles and have interchangeable sheet metal.
They're also the only 2 high performance muscle cars to share the same roofline.
The 1970 Chevelle came in sport coupe, sport sedan, convertible, four-door sedan, a couple of wagons, and coupé utility (the El Camino) body styles. Only 3 of these (Malibu sport coupe, Malibu convertible and El Camino pickup) were available with a choice of one of 2 SS options; RPO Z25 with the SS 396 (402 cid) engine and RPO Z15 with the new 454 cid engine.
The base model was now simply called Chevelle (which causes confusion) in lieu of the former base 300 Deluxe, and was only as a Sport Coupe or four-door sedan."
(...)
"The SS 396 Chevelle included a 350 horsepower (260 kW) Turbo-Jet 396 V8, special suspension, "power dome" hood, black-accented grille, resilient rear-bumper insert, and wide-oval tires on sport wheels.
Though a 375 horsepower (280 kW) cowl induction version was available, few were sold in favor of the newly introduced 454 engine in the October/November 1969 timeframe."
(...)
New Sheet Metal Front/Rear design
"The 1971 Chevelles got fresh front-end and rear-end styling that included large Power-Beam single-unit headlights, a reworked grille and bumper, and integral park/signal/marker lights. New dual round taillights were integral with the back bumper. Because SS models suffered heavy insurance surcharges, Chevrolet introduced the "Heavy Chevy" at midyear, which was based on the base Chevelle, and was available with any V8 engine except the 454, which was exclusive to SS models."
(...)
- Third generation (1973–1977).
"The most extensive redesign in its 10-year history marked the 1973 Chevelle. Due to concern over proposed Federal rollover standards, convertible and 4-door hardtop models were discontinued, while the 2-door hardtop was replaced by a pillared coupe—named "Colonnade Hardtop"."

1970 Chevelle SS454 called "Melba Toast", driven by Matthew McConaughey's character Wooderson in the movie "Dazed And Confused". Please excuse the yellowed 2x3 slope, its the only one I have right now. I took some liberties with the details due to the scale, but it does fit Wooderson's figure without having to remove the hair.

Welcome to Wheel Standing.
Lino asks for Exhibition cars, and a quick google search later - I find this critter. Apparently 'Wheel Standers' were a sub-group of drag racing cars, where the mechanical package (usually with a rearward weight bias) resulted in vehicles lifted the front axle off the ground. This was added to the normal drag car repertoire of lots of noise, tire smoke and wild acceleration.
The car shown here - Texas Rare Bear III', was built from a circa-1969 Chevrolet El Camino Coupe-Utility.
The standard El Camino was no slouch, being fitted with engines up to 454 CID V8 with 450 hp (336 kW) and 500 lb·ft (680 N·m) of torque, from the LS6.
The Texas Rare Bear name and livery also appears on a small single-engine aeroplane (possibly a racer or somesuch), so I assume it relates to something similar????
Anyway, the Texas Rare Bear III is my entry for Flickr LUGNuts' 113th Build Challenge - 'For Your Exhibition' - a relatively loose challenge to build a vehicle for exhibit, or some sort.

The fourth-generation F-body continued the aerodynamic formula initiated by the previous generation, but saw declining sales. As before, the Camaro kept the exposed headlights and the Firebird its pop-up units, with some minor changes.
The 1996-97 347.8 cu in (5.7 litre) LT1 V8 with Ram Air produced 305bhp, giving the car an electronically limited top speed of 155mph and a 0-60mph time of 5.6 seconds
For 1998–2002 Pontiac used the same heavy duty brakes, steering ratios, fuel pumps and shocks (non-WS6) on both V6 and V8 models.
From 1998-02 the Firebird received a mild facelift, changes include a new hood and front fascia with dual intakes, retracting quad halogen headlights, circular turnsignal and fog lamps, a front license plate pocket, lower fender air vents, unified-style lower door raised lettering for each trim level, and a new honeycomb rear light panel, . The all-aluminum 5.7 L V8 engine was sourced from the Corvette C5, and produced 305 hp (227 kW) at 5,200 rpm; 335 ft·lbf (454 N·m) at 4,000 rpm, (310 after 2000) or 320 hp (325 after 2000) in the WS-6 Ram Air version. In 2001 and 2002, models equipped with a V8 received the high-flow LS6 intake manifold and a high-performance clutch. A Firehawk model, produced by SLP and sold through Pontiac dealerships, had 330 hp (335 after 2000, 345 in late 2002 models equipped with the optional Blackwing intake. The V6-equipped Firebirds were rated at 231.9 hp

The fourth and final generation of the Camero was launched for the 1993 model year.on an updated F-body platform.

Southend High Street following a cloud burst over the town in 1971. Advertising the Southend Standard, the bridge ahead is the location of the Town's railway Station, which stands to the right of the bridge out of view.
The red illuminated 'Caters' sign marks the entrance to the Southend branch of the Cater Brothers supermarket, the store occupying the former lobby and stalls area of the Odeon cinema. The cinema was still operational at this time, but had in 1970 been converted to a 2-screen layout, sacrificing the stalls and stage area for conversion into retail use. The Caters supermarket business was acquired by Debenham's in 1973. Debenhams sold the business and its 24 stores to Cavenham Foods subsidiary Allied Suppliers in 1979. The Caters supermarkets were then integrated into Allied's 'Presto' supermarket chain, the Cater Brothers brand name being dropped.
Returning to the cinema, that had opened in July 1935 as the 'Astoria', a grand venue with a lavish interior. The Astoria featured a deep-set stage behind its screen, seated 2,750 people, and had twelve dressing rooms for performers. In c1940, the Astoria became part of the Odeon Theatres empire.
Over the decades, Southend's Odeon had been host to many world famous acts including Laurel and Hardy on their final tour in 1953, the Beatles in 1963, and the Rolling Stones supported by The Hollies in 1965. Other famous acts included Jazz trumpeter Louis Armstrong, singers Dusty Springfield and Cliff Richard. The last film shown was Star Wars in 1996 after which the cinema was closed. Demolition came in 2004 and today a campus building for the University of Essex stands on the site. A new 8-cinema Odeon complex in the town replaced the original cinema.
The bus partly off picture is Southend Corporation 211, a 1956, Weymann bodied Leyland Royal Tiger. 211 had been purchased from Glasgow Corporation where it had been numbered LS7. Southend acquired five of these buses from Glasgow in 1966 (LS6-8, LS15 & LS1), numbering them 210-214 respectively. All were withdrawn during 1972.

The LM racer was announced at the 1993 Earls Court Racing Car Show and marked a return to Le Mans. To homologate the car Marcos were required to build a number of road cars similar to the racers and the LM400, LM500 and LM600 are the fruits of that. Most road going LM.s were sold with wood copings and Wilton carpet and Connolly leather rather than the stark racing cars. The LM400 and 500 were essentially the same apart from different versions of the Rover V8, 3.9 and 5.0ltr. engine
From 1999 Marcos racing efforts were taken over by Dutch based Eurotech and the LM600 was developed into the LM600 Evo with an entirely new tubular chassis around a mid mounted Chevy LS6, and a light yet very strong driveline featuring an aluminum torque tube, transaxle and Hewland 6 speed transmission.
