This was a cast-off because "it's broken." Found the drive belt tangled in the gearing for the arm return, untangled it, and it was no longer broken. Now I have something to play my one remaining album - Bruce Cockburn's High Wind White Sky.

Crappy recordings but a great album cover. Tops LP - L1530

I'm in the process of bringing my old light painting blog back online after years of neglect. I'm doing my best to restore all of the original tutorials I posted on there years ago. It's a work in progress, but right now you can check it out at here

The LP's I kept when we moved - the ones I wanted - were flooded as our wash sewer line clogged. Luckily it wasn't the toilet line ;) ... but it was shower water, dishwasher water, clothes wash water... The LPs covers have started to grow some fuzz. I'm not sure what to do, take them out doors into some dry warm place and let them dry, buy a DJ cartridge that tracks at 4 grams? Meanwhile I don't like the dark stain that is on the walls of the basement... that can be expensive.

So anyway, Spirit uses water to teach us. in this case it is about non-attachment and humbleness. Or the value of non physical music storage?

My friend, Anthony, who is in Beginning Photography, asked if I could take him out and show him the ropes for some light painting! Of course I said yes not passing down a good LP trip. This place was his idea. I absolutely loved it!...other than the street lights were annoying. But the four huge tunnels were so sick. We got some other shots on his camera. I'll attach them when he uploads.

Minor editing done in CS5!
