Quick post (excuse the pun) taken during a stroll last Saturday morning at Porthcawl. This old dog was sat staring lovingly and loyally at a shop door waiting for its owner to reappear.

My first fold after many months. I was missing this so much XD.
This new style of Román Díaz is so interesting. It has the same magic of his previous models, but with less "real" elements, so many features are just suggested, like the legs.
I find it really creative and challenging at the same time.
Sometimes when photographing wildlife you do a lot of waiting around and people will say how amazing our patience is, but while waiting for something gives me the opportunity to study behavior in nature and sometimes these observations move me to tears...this was one such case. These two Least Sandpipers landed near me in the mudflat and it soon became clear that one was not well and in some sort of distress. The healthy one stayed by it's friend's side for a very long time keeping it company until it passed away. Such an act of compassion and loyalty was certainly an eye opener and was very poignant. I do not know what the relationship was between them whether friend, parent, progeny...it was certainly clear that there was great empathy displayed by a tiny Sandpiper....
I promise this will be the last dog picture for a little while. I love the look on both my daughters face and Rico's. Rico, who was rescued from a life as a neglected and abused stray dog, has settled into our family and become a loyal companion to all of us. I think this photo captures the bond nicely.
I would also like to say thank you to all who have been taking time out of their busy days to view my photos. It's great to get such positive feedback and has encouraged me to expand my horizons and to grow as a photographer.
This is my last photo for several days as I will be away. I can't wait to return and view all of your photos.
A Buddhism believer was walking with her dog along the wall of The Potala Palace Lhasa Tibet. There are many Buddhism believers walk along the wall everyday!
