A Buddhism believer was walking with her dog along the wall of The Potala Palace Lhasa Tibet. There are many Buddhism believers walk along the wall everyday!

“The greatest fear dogs know is the fear that you will not come back when you go out the door without them.”

― Stanley Coren

it snowed again last night, it's gorgeous outside but i have to stuck in office. *sigh*=(

These paws have never left my side for TWELVE YEARS! I fought and fought, and guess who gets to go to Georgia?! That’s right... this OLD DOG! I’m so excited!

mac mania!

just to clear my name, i don't just insanely spend my money on apple products. previously i owned the g5 and cinema display (where i do all of my photo and video work), along with the shuffle and iphone. my school (that i am starting in two weeks) has a macbook pro and fcp requirement, which is what made me make those heavy investments. also, apple is running a promotion for a free ipod touch, so that's how i acquired that guy.

the only things coming with me to school are the phone, laptop, and display. the rest is for my family's use.

Not something money can buy. You get it by showing someone you deeply care about them, that no matter the circumstances, you stand beside them. You get it by demonstrating time and time again that you have their back and that you would do anything and everything to make sure they are okay and have all they need.

Having the loyalty from those you love and care about is worth more than all the money in the bank, more than all the "things" we gather through out our lives.

And honestly, there's no loyalty better than that of a good dog. They give total and unconditional love, 24/7 until the day they take their last breath.

I sure wish they lived longer. Otto is just turning 4 years old and already I see the gray on the muzzle, arriving too soon, reminding me that his time is likely much shorter than mine.

But for now, I won't worry about that. I'll just concentrate on now and continue my efforts at maintaining his loyalty, trust, love and devotion and hope that I am half the person he thinks I am.

Dog waiting for his friend

Lego Falcon soldiers invade the snowy shores of wild bear territories. The cold air gives the soldiers little comfort. The invading falcons are led by a elf who was banished by her people at the age of six years old. The Falcon prince took her in and raised her as his own child. Yrneha was the name given to her. Yrneha was given a military education, with her elf reflexes she outmatched her fellow students. As a adult she is feared by her soldiers and enemies. The falcons establish a beach head and wait for the second wave of troops.

Secret #9

i am loyal. i would not say to a fault but i am loyal. it takes me a little while before i decide you are my friend but once i consider you a friend, you will always be. i have had the same friends for years. nothing changes it. not even living thousands of miles away. i may not talk to my friends everyday but when they need me I am here.

Saw this picture while walking around Dartmouth in Cornwall......

With her gaze fixed on a single point in space, and her eyes filled with undying curiosity,

she had dreams far bigger and more profound than mine would ever be.

#babado

The human being is not designed to live as a hermit – we are dependent on the existence of others in our lives.

Finding the right people to surround us is quite a tricky and possibly a life-long task. We need to invest time and energy until we can figure out if it is worthy or not. We are obliged to discover whether our vis-à-vis will also stand at our side in the dark times, how serious they are and if we can trust them?

For a working relationship, trust is mandatory. In order to build it up, we put ourselves in a status in which we assume to be almost as crucial for the life of the others as they are for themselves. We hypothesize that they would make an effort to bring a smile to our lips when we are depressed, that they would make sacrifices to help us and that they would carry us on their shoulders if we could not walk anymore.

Probably, we would come from the conclusion that all of our “extraordinary people” would fulfill the favorable characteristics which we attribute to a working relationship because, in the end, it was us, that believe to be in the right position, who decided whom to let in the exclusive circle.

The truth is that the world is full of people with empty words who promise whatever suits the situation and their own best interest. They hide behind their invisible masks and adjust their behavior whenever it is needed to get their benefit. They laugh with us, chill or party with us – but they are the quickest to run away the moment life becomes a bit more complicated. To understand that we were outsmarted and rapidly replaced hurts even more.

But as severe and painful these experiences are, they also show us who really cares and sometimes it can be surprising who unexpectedly shows up to comfort us while we are licking our wounds.

Motif No. 50.

Those familiar with Rockport, MA, or with my stream, will recognize Motif No. 1, the famous fishing shack overlooking the harbor. Local residents are so proud of our town that there is a cottage industry producing mailboxes and birdhouses paying homage to it. This one is a bit more accurate in the details than the one at number 37, previously posted, and titled "Loyalty." The lobster trap buoy is there for those who don't already get the message.
