These are very loyal dogs. My grandparents had a couple on their farm; they guarded the sheep and other livestock. After eight years absence, I returned to the farm to visit; both dogs joyously jumped telling me they had recognized me.

I was kayaking Fuller Lake in the spring and my dogs followed me on the shore, desperately trying to keep an eye on me. They'd rush up in front of me on the shore and wait and just gaze as I paddled by, then run along the shore for another vantage point. I love German Shepherds. I get 92% of my self-esteem from my dogs. They think I'm a god. This is one you gotta view large to really know what I'm talkin' about.

Terrific Tuesday to you.

It was a difficult decision to keep this street scene in colour but the little bit of pink on the dog's collar made me to, sorry B&W lovers...

Having a dog is 99% of the time following each other around, watching each other go to the loo, and wondering what each other has in their mouth!

Non-HDR. This old shot is massively under-exposed. I adjusted the brightness, level, curve, and exposure. Additional touch-up on saturation and color balance.

“I used to advertise my loyalty and I don't believe there is a single person I loved that I didn't eventually betray.”

My Bullmastiff Rogue laying in the sun on the desk.

In what seemed like a futile display of love and loyalty, this ram stands guard over the body of a dead sheep in a barren paddock in the outback of South Australia. He never moved more than a few paces from the body and was obviously distressed at my presence. Moved by his concern I took this and several other photos and wondered how long it would be until he met a similar fate in this place without water or food.
