With the roof on, this is the way that the front of the train looks. I'm very pleased with the way it's turned out.

This view is similar to mono version I uploaded a while ago. Normally I think that B&W is a suitable media for historic objects, however in this instance I like the lightly reflected illumination on the boiler barel as well as the striking red buffer beams.

A Audi R8 LMS at the Essen Motorshow.

I've taken a slice through the railcar body to show how the profile has been achieved. Obviously I'll need to prototype this with some real bricks to check that it will actually work as advertised.

LMS 720 leads TV-7 at CP DRAW in Buffalo, NY on May 16, 1998. I was using some high speed slide film, and the images are super grainy. The stuff was hit or miss as far as getting decent results.

I'd been playing around with some Technic trying to come up with a reasonable way of close coupling vehicles when I happened on this arrangement of parts. As you can see, it permits a sort of floating pivot point along what is almost a straight line. The advantage of this is that it would permit two vehicles to be close coupled on straights but gives sufficient clearance for curves and movement of the vehicles relative to each other.

The original idea had been that this would be used for bogie vehicles. The mechanism would be mounted within the body of the vehicle with a straight bar coupler to join the vehicles together. Because each vehicle would centre correctly due to the bogies making reference to the track, this should not need anything additional for the geometry to work. At present, I have not had any time to build or test this.

Testing lenses I forgot to check who made this. I think it's a Hornby.
