I was the only one to get a picture of when Jamie took off the guarder. The hired photographer had already left before they did that.
Hoplite Armour
Corinthian helmet
Beaten out of a single sheet of bronze, this helmet provided maximum protection. It fitted snugly and was padded inside for comfort. The Corinthian helmet was widely worn in the Greek world from the 7th century BC onwards. It was the most popular type of helmet in the depictions of Greek hoplites (foot soldiers) from the period.
Helmet, bronze. About 550 – 500 BC 1824.0407.
Cuirass
The powerful musculature of the cuirass (upper body armour) gives the impression that the metal was hammered over an extremely toned soldier’s torso and back. The two sections were secured at the shoulders and sides with leather cords pulled through metal loops. The dent in the upper left abdominal area might be the result of a impact from a weapon.
Cuirass, bronze. About 350 – 350 BC. Found at Ruvo at Puglia, Italy. 1874. 0820.773
Greaves
Greaves (leg guards) fitted snugly over the knees and shins. They protected the warrior from low flying missiles, kicks and slashes from sharp blades. They were secured by leather straps at the back of the calf and were padded fro comfort. This pair of greaves has a palmette design incised over each knee guard, and the contours of the calf muscles naturalistically modelled in relief.
Greaves, bronze. About 500 BC 1874.0774. 435 b
Decoration was critical to fine armor, and etching was the most commonly used technique. Here, the bands along the borders are etched. On the breastplate, pauldrons (shoulder guards), and tassets (hip and upper leg guards), etched medallions enclose profile busts reminiscent of ancient Roman portraits. The lance rest on the breastplate indicates that this half-suit was once part of a complete field armor for man and horse. The etching technique used for armor was developed in the late 1400s. The metal surface was first coated with an acid-resistant substance, such as wax or varnish. An etching needle was then used to scratch a design into the surface. The exposed areas were then treated with an acid that would "bite" or etch the lines into the metal. When the coating was removed, the etched design was blackened for contrast.

This is an example of raised field etching where the design stands out in slight relief from the background.

Ready to take in these parts. Leg guards, valve covers, front and rear fenders and gas tank. Hope the cost is reasonable. Still waiting on return of tub, sidecar fender and trunk lid for hack.
Door edging put onto edges of leg guard. Not sure if it will work or not, as the heat may be too much for the plastic edging when the guards are installed. I'll have to wait and check it all out when the bike is actually running in the future.

The gas tank with checkerboard pattern on it. I may add an oil catch can to the back of the leg guard on the left side. Not sure yet and I'll need to paint the can I have. I am looking for some orange colored hose to connect it to the motor at the vent. It came with blue hose and I don't care for that.

The god is shown in characteristic warlike attire. He wears the armour of a general - an elaborate helmet, sheet metal leg-guards (greaves) and an embossed chest plate (cuirass) moulded to the form of the body. Originally he would have held a spear and shield.
