"Remains of civilization"
"The swamps. Back in the days the main point of industry, nowadays a dangerous and polluted area. I am standing at the end of the road, from now on there's only the remains of what used to be pipeline to provide the fabrics with water. And I have to cross this polluted area to get back to New York downtown, where the last remains of humans can be found. My plane crashed during a reconnaissance flight over the remains of Philadelphia and it took me one year to find New york. Even though New York City is only a few miles away, it feels like it is hundred of miles away. It might take me some time to get through this area or it might not. Whatever, time is nothing these days..."
Finally a new build from me and I personally would say, it is not my best but still turned out decently. I was able to try some new techniques and to mess around with some unique parts. Especially in terms of vegetation and terrain this build gave me some good lessons and I have learned some useful new stuff for future builds. Overall this build took around one and a half week and it's based on 16x32 studs. All close-ups are visible on my Flickr now and I might be doing a small YouTube video about it as well. If you like the build, I'd appreciate to see your thoughts down in the comment section and, if you havent already, drop a follow to see future builds of mine.
I changed to tan tiles to see how it looks like, I could have used medium nougat or dark tan but I had these extra tan tiles so I put them in... Haha, I ended up with the chequered tiling because it looked much better and it had the "diner" feeling...
Just clearing out some older phone photos...
In celebration of my 20,000th picture upload to Flickr, I give you a look at something that combines both my LEGO and our retail interests: a proper LEGO department store made from LEGO in minifigure scale.

A small city block with a great dumpling spot, a vending machine and vintage vinyl shop. Thinking I'll add this to my lego city eventually, maybe once I have a dedicated lego room.

I genuinely love LEGO and Hard Rock Cafe, so thought I'd take the best of both worlds!

This set was way back before I get to know about LEGO. The design of this vehicle for its era/age is really nice and presentable as a toy. Until now I still love the design even though the scale was not proportioned well with the Minifigures. Beyond that, it has a functional dumping at the back of the dump. Even though it's small but it does compact the main function for playing system. This set only have 115 pieces in total. It was released in 1987, price range was around MYR 50 in Malaysia.

This is set 910010 Great Fishing Boat from the first round of the bricklink designer program. I added a few led-lights from Light My Bricks that I repurposed from another set. Now the green and red position lights on top of the cabin are illuminated. Also the cabin has some lights on the inside and two of the lights on the cabin roof light the deck for the fishermen.

Entry for a vehicles contest on IdS.
Built with bricklink’s Stud.io software. Gonna build this with real bricks, but for the contest there wasn’t enough time for that.

Had to redo it to fit the new system anyway, so I took the opportunity to shrink the footprint and update the design slightly. Quite pleased with the result.

Our super-secret ninja-agents have gotten their hands on a sneak-peek of the new Lego City sets coming later this year! Here's an image of the first set, the Dump Truck with a mysterious codename "Long Haul", and it's certainly more than meets the eye. The rumor is, there is total of 6 sets coming up with also a possible super set..
Check out the alternative mode here!
Few words on the design: now there are plenty of constructicon sets out there, but the ones in minifigure scale are rare. Also, the idea was (or is) to build set which _could be_ from Lego City, with matching colors and style.

The Piaggio Ape is a three-wheeled light commercial vehicle, manufactured and marketed by Piaggio as an adaptation of the company's Vespa scooter. It has been in continuous production since its 1948 introduction and is offered in numerous body configurations, serving a range of utilitarian functions. This version was designed, built and sold between 1968–1978. "MP" stood for Motore Posteriore (Rear Engine), the engine was moved from the cab to the rear to improve comfort.
This model was inspired by ABrickDreamer, with some important changes and upgrades: better proportions, more spacious cockpit (now can accomodate a minifig with every haircuts), more details (such as engine, rear view mirrors and spare wheel), overall design inspired by another version of the Ape Piaggio.
