Churchills Kenworth 950 Legend on a tautliner at Seymour. Chased him all the way from Cooper St. 160km round trip for something that took 1/1000th of a second= must be crazy! January 2016.
Graintrans 950 Legend at Shell Bunker Hill. Two Legends in two days I was convinced I'd have to travel to Brisbane for, Unbelievable! This is the 60th one Ive caught, only 15 to go..... September 2018.

Seen here at Hay Bridge, No. 2999 ‘Lady of Legend’ is a recreation of the Saint Class locomotive, non of which were preserved after the end of steam. Built at the Didcot Railway Centre and completed in 2019 after 45 years in the making.

My first time to see this type of work and all I can say is AWESOME.
She goes by many name: “Pachamama” for South American Indians, “Gaia” in Greek mythology. “Terra Mater” in Roman myth, “Mahimata” in Hinduism’s Rid-Veda. “Eorban Modor” for Germanic and Northern peoples, and “Mother Earth” as named and celebrated by North America’s First Nations. She is universal and transcends nationalities and the ages, from Paleolithic to today. She is the basis for everything: living beings, plant life, minerals, textiles, technology, food.
Taking its cues from North American Aboriginal culture, Mother Earth was inspired by a speech reportedly delivered in 1854 by Chief Seattle during his meeting with then President of the United States Franklin Pierce on the occasion of the sale of native land to white settlers. His words capture the essence of the privileged relationship our continent’s first inhabitants maintain nature.

In 2002 the vessel was converted into a luxury yacht with new tonnage of 2,407 g.t. and 601 dwt.

Seconds after this pass during the Flying Legends 2011 “Balbo” flypast at Duxford, this section carried out their break manoeuvre and a dramatic mid air collision ensued between the AD-4N Skyraider 124143 (F-AZDP) and lead P-51D (CA-18) 47-2218 (D-FBBD) aka “Big Beautiful Doll”, the Skyraider’s starboard wing slicing into the Mustang’s rear fuselage. Sadly this resulted in the crash of the stricken Mustang, but not before pilot, Rob Davies miraculously parachuted to safety at very low altitude. The damaged Skyraider landed safely minus a wing tip.
