This week's theme for Macro Monday is "Abstract" which promised to be lots of fun to play with!

For me the most interesting material to experiment with was glass.

So I chose a green rectangular vase with a lively profile shape at the edges which I thought would make interesting abstract forms. A bit glitter ribbon and an LED light for some sparkly Bokeh. I love my Helios 44 lense for delivering an even more abstract result.

It sure was fun! Thank you, dear Moderators :)

I found a charming YouTube tutorial about how to make this beautiful large Swedish Snow Flower. It took me about two weeks to finish. Anything handmade is always so much better! I had been shopping online for a new decoration but was disappointed with all the soulless products on offer, so made one instead.

In these dark and stormy times (and I'm not just talking about the weather now), constructing it was a very grounding activity. I recommend it. Creating something with your hands alleviates that helpless feeling, to a degree. It's so simple, yet the result is fantastic and beautiful!

Here is the YouTube tutorial (it's in German):

For Christmas just past, a very dear friend who knows I love photography and being creative with tabletop photography gave me some little LED lights and a box of amazing and different ribbons as a gift. Amongst them was a string of gold daisies and a string of orange chiffon flowers.

This year the FFF+ Group have decided to have a monthly challenge called “Snap Happy”. A different theme, or a selection of themes to choose from or combine is provided on the 5th of every month, and the image is to be posted on the 5th of the following month.

The themes for February are “water”, “all creatures great and small” and “the colour orange”.

When I saw the theme, I immediately thought of my box of beautiful ribbons, and remembering the string of orange chiffon flowers, I immediately began to play. I have used three of the ribbons and the LED lights my friend gave me in this photo. I sent it to her to show what I had done, and she approved. I hope that you approve of my orange submission too!

Another shot of the immersive light show within Casa Batlló, in Barcelona, Spain.

This installation offers visitors a unique journey into the architect's creative genius, utilizing AI to generate synthetical architecture based on Gaudi's original works. The Gaudi Cube itself is a pioneering six-sided LED room, measuring 10 meters in length, 9.5 meters in width, and 2.75 meters in height, with a total area of 243 square meters of LED panels. This immersive space serves as the grand finale of the Casa Batlló experience, providing an exciting, multi-sensory cultural encounter that blends advanced technology with Gaudi's architectural brilliance.
