This is the interior of the Envy Nightlife nightclub located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, by I-5 Design & Manufacture. The lighting for the oval shaped structure is spectacular; radiating outward is an array of LED tubes that are capable of displaying everything from large-scale videos to intricately designed effects that can range from a pounding heartbeat to a whirling cyclone of movement and energy. The approximately 200-meter-high reinforced-concrete colossus is located on the 535-meter-high summit of Misina. It has an observation terrace and a coffee house providing an amazing panorama. When the weather is clear, it is possible to see as far as the Danube, the range of the Mecsek Hills and the area of the Mecsek Ridge becomes outlined. southwards, but usually a vapour cloud floats above the city. The Mosque and the Cathedral seem tiny from here, like matchboxes, yet all universal values of the thousand year-Christian presence and the 150-year Muslim traditions of Pécs radiate up to this Mediterranean hillside.

At the Route 66 Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico, I-5 Design and Manufacture created a nightclub design that was electrifying and energetic. To draw customers from the gaming floor into the nightclub, I-5 used color changing LED lighting for the exterior wall façade, that displayed many color palettes and added drama to the venue. LED lights had been with us for over 40 years now having started with calculator and watch displays but in recent years they've matured to more practical uses such as replacing the light bulb for our homes, television and computer monitors and even our motor vehicles and so many others. the other day i came across these fancy LED lights for home display.
I bet that you did not know that the official name for Smithfield Market is Smithfield Plaza.
The Christmas tree at Smithfield [ designed by Blachere the company which created the lighting for the Eiffel Tower] was originally installed on O’Connell Street before being moved to Smithfield. I was disappointed that it was relocated.
According to the city council, it paid €36,809 last December to private firm 2B Light Company in relation to this tree, including €26,961 for the installation and removal of the 18 metre, five-ton, eco-friendly tree illuminated by 100,000 bulbs. In addition, the firm was paid €5,500 for the storage of the tree while the total includes a 13.5 per cent VAT component of €4,378.
The Mayor of Dublin recently stated that the city council’s spending on natural trees “is justified because of the Christmas cheer the trees bring and the community spirit they create, but I would have concerns over the ongoing costs associated with the Led Christmas tree at Smithfield.”
Personally I like the tree and I do hope that they continue to use it every Christmas going forward. I would be even happier if it was returned to O’Connell Street now that the tram construction works will have been completed by Christmas 2017.

Promaster 1144 LED Light w/Shoot-thru Umbrella
Back in November I was in Las Vegas and met Nicole. She helped us out at a "Meet the D750" evening at B&C Camera. At one point that evening, I grabbed my V3 and 32mm to make some shots.
I had totally forgot that I had these! It was a pleasant surprise when I came across them.
This was the final frame of a very fast 20 frame per second series where Nicole had whipped her hair around and I captured the scene as her had fell back into place.
We are in the process of gradually switching from our old incandescent lightbulbs to more energy efficient LED lighting. Here is how the newer 40-watt bulbs (left side) compare to the old 40-watt bulbs. They are much brighter, and they are also dimmable using our existing light switch. Photo by Glenn.
