This is the 360 Degree Bar, located in the Route 66 Casino, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Multi-faceted metal beaded curtains were suspended from the perimeter of the bar ceiling and illuminated with color-changing LED lighting from above. Throughout the interior of the bar, LED lighting was used to highlight key areas, such as the ceiling element replicating the swirling pattern of a nautilus shell. I bet that you did not know that the official name for Smithfield Market is Smithfield Plaza.
The Christmas tree at Smithfield [ designed by Blachere the company which created the lighting for the Eiffel Tower] was originally installed on O’Connell Street before being moved to Smithfield. I was disappointed that it was relocated.
According to the city council, it paid €36,809 last December to private firm 2B Light Company in relation to this tree, including €26,961 for the installation and removal of the 18 metre, five-ton, eco-friendly tree illuminated by 100,000 bulbs. In addition, the firm was paid €5,500 for the storage of the tree while the total includes a 13.5 per cent VAT component of €4,378.
The Mayor of Dublin recently stated that the city council’s spending on natural trees “is justified because of the Christmas cheer the trees bring and the community spirit they create, but I would have concerns over the ongoing costs associated with the Led Christmas tree at Smithfield.”
Personally I like the tree and I do hope that they continue to use it every Christmas going forward. I would be even happier if it was returned to O’Connell Street now that the tram construction works will have been completed by Christmas 2017.

The exterior sign structure for Oaklawn Racing & Gaming was pre-assembled at the I-5 Design & Manufacture shop in Lacy, WA. The enormous Oaklawn letters were 8 feet tall, internally illuminated channel letters, with bright white LED lighting, installed onto an arched background panel that housed a wall of fully programmable LED lights, this included color changing & video capabilities. The gaming floor at Casino Pauma consists of bright colors that bring interest and excitement to the casino design. Custom mica chandeliers, built at I-5, add a warmth to the interior design. I-5 Design & Manufacture recently completed the casino design and remodel at Santa Ana Star Casino in New Mexico. With a southwest natural Bosque theme the casino buffet design brought a unique area within the casino. Each booth divider mimics the branch-like motif found in the carpet and unifies the flow throughout the space. I-5 Design & Manufacture recently completed the casino design and remodel at Santa Ana Star Casino in New Mexico. For this buffet area we designed an artistically sculpted cottonwood tree with golden foliage at the focal point of the venue. We continued the theme throughout the casino buffet design, with other natural elements such as birch branches mounted to the top of the half-wall adding privacy, as well as visual interest. Mustang Cafe in the Comanche Nation Casino includes a custom designed suspended ceiling valance with color changing led technology, specialty metal columns with mica luminaire top and stone base, half walls with sculpted panels and a silhouette horse cutout with LED uplighting and mural backer over the ordering counter. Casino Pauma wanted to honor their tribal heritage with a tribal display. We created a tribal display design that worked well with the overall casino renovation. To see more examples of casino design, click here.
A bold port cochere with architectural stone pillars adds a dynamic feel to the exterior design of Casino Pauma. Between the pillars, a marbled acrylic orange tree filters the rays of light to add warmth to the casino design. The exterior design's custom mica sconces are mounted on the pillars to light the entryway at night. Click here to see more casino design.
This calendula flower is illuminated overhead by RGB lights. Their slightly different positions means different petals of the flower get exposed to different intensities of red green and blue lighting. THEN I was surprised by how the center of the flower reacted to light from a fourth source, a hand-held "blacklight" LED flashlight.
The camera's WB was set to "daylight". The only post-processing was a mild increase in brightness and contrast. I used Kenko extension tubes to get close. Note the severe "purple-fringing" especially in the upper right corner.

The interior design of Casino Pauma has plant like elements that give it a natural feel. The inviting indoor seating area is well spaced to enhance the ambiance of the casino design. This is the design for the pit area inside the Comanche Nation Casino. The custom design package included a three-tiered, cross-beam coffered structure which was suspended from the ceiling, custom wall murals and specialty two-toned amber mica chandeliers that cast an inviting glow on the entire venue. This is the exterior of the Lake of the Torches Casino and Resort by I-5 Design and Manufacture. To create a high-impact look that could be seen from miles away, we designed the signage to be illuminated with I-5 Ultra-bright LED lighting for increased brightness, as well as reduced energy consumption. It's got 16 5chip 1/2 LEDs. Most of them are cool-white now. Initially it had 50%/50% cool/warm-white, but the warm-white ones have died prematurely - for unknown reason.
This one still uses an ATtiny2313 as the brain, but I think I'll switch to a Mega48/88 later. It's got a real SPI unit, which can send out the data much quicker than the 2313's USI unit. This is crucial, as the PWM interrupt must finish very quickly for proper performance.
This casino design is very colorful and has many unique décor elements. I-5 custom designed a wall mural to go around the perimeter of the gaming floor. With a color changing LED lighting system the wall murals add an element of excitement. To see more examples of casino design, click here.

The entire remodel included approximately 30,000sf of gaming space, restaurant, concessions area, bar area, and four restrooms was completely transformed within seven weeks onsite, five weeks ahead of schedule.

The Porte Cochere remodel at Soboba Casino, the goal was to create the lodge decor look on the exterior of the structure. This was accomplished by creating a “mountain with a sun and rays” silhouetted aluminum background structure with logo signage including channel letters and “feather” logo cabinet. Measuring just 80mm x 27mm (shown here with a Mini Maglite AA) this little light has been living on my key ring for about 6 weeks and has now replaced my Maglite Solitaire as it has many more uses and exceptional runtimes:

I tend to use the red LED mode which provides good low level light for simple things like finding a keyhole in the dark (must be getting old).
