This is a macro of a tiny sculpture. I couldn't do this before without strong natural light and the right angle. The eyes reflect the flash pattern. Not bad for $27!
This is a good example on how annoying LEDs look when you shot them with long exposure and a moving camera. What looks like dots on the picture is in fact depicting short pulses of light.
Floor peering into LEDs Forever
Infinity Mirrored Room - LEDs Forever is a re-imagining of Yayoi Kusama's 1966 piece “Infinity Mirrored Room - Love Forever”. It brings it into the 21st-century through the use of RGB LEDs and interactivity to allow viewers to perceive an infinite “virtual” space in a breathtaking way.
These are the first photo's I've got of the full set out together, for the time being I can't have all 3 displays showing due to not having communications cables yet, so can only connect 1 at a time directly to the controller. At the present, I have not managed to get my own data onto the controller yet, so it still just has a destination list from Geldards Coaches, who were the last operator to have the bus on loan that these displays were fitted to.

Quite a few LEDs emit too much red. I will need some sort of dot correction to compensate ;-(
8 out of 10 boards have issues.
Super detailed Athearn RTR C44-9W. Added details include MC Cables, Air hoses, windshield wipers, uncoupler bars, grab irons, LED ditch lights (two pairs), LED headlights, LED reverse lights.
Second of Three. In my office with the lights out. I noticed how many leds were glowing after turning out the lights to head to bed, and thought, "Hey, there is enough light there to expose a photo if I got out the tripod and did a long exposure. This was taken with autofocusing (which did not help the focus in near complete darkness) adjusting the aperture so that the light meter went to the 1+ area, because at 0 was darker than I wanted in IMG_0443. I couldn't see any detail in the dark with my own eyes (except the glowing tiny dot of the miscellaneous chargers & displays of electronics) until the shutter closed when I was done. You can get an idea how dark it was by knowing that the light coming in through the window is from a porch light in the backyard neighbors yard 60-100 feet away- even though it looks like daylight. I kind of feel 'earth-guilty' just looking at all of the power consumption by my sleeping charged devices. I shut down and unplug my stuff as a habit after this photo brought it all to light.
