The Last Metro (original French title: Le Dernier Métro) is a 1980 film, written and directed by the French filmmaker François Truffaut, and starring Catherine Deneuve and Gérard Depardieu
Set during the German occupation of Paris during the Second World War, it tells the story of Lucas Steiner, a Jewish theatre director and his Gentile wife, Marion Steiner, who struggles to keep him concealed from the Nazis in their theatre cellar while she performs his former job both as an actress and directing the company.
The title The Last Métro refers to the fact that during the occupation it was imperative that Parisians catch the last train (Métro) home. This was to avoid breaking the strict curfew imposed by the Nazis. During the winter months of occupied Paris, there was no way to obtain coal and the only manner in which people could keep warm was attending plays in theatres which ended just before the last train left.
As in Truffaut's earlier film Jules et Jim, there is a love triangle between the three principal characters: Marion Steiner (Deneuve), her husband Lucas (Heinz Bennent) and Bernard Granger (Depardieu), an actor in the theatre's latest production.

Lundi 18 mai 2015, après l'inauguration, venez découvrir le bassin et les parterres de Latone restaurés avec une mise en eau exceptionnelle de 16h à 17h.
Datant du XVe siècle, il est construit par les ducs de Savoie dans le cadre de leur expansion territoriale.
Il connut de nombreux propriétaires et devint " domaine " en 1870 avec Monsieur C.
Le parc fut dessiné en 1872 par l'architecte D .
C'est alors toute une restauration de l'ensemble qui va débuter en 1880 et ce jusqu'en 1901.
Madame H en fait l'acquisition en 1909.
Du point de vue architectural, de nombreuses modifications et restaurations ont été effectuées : le style gothique fleuri ou flamboyant prévaut dans l'ensemble, avec ses tours hautes coiffées d'ardoises et ses toits inclinés.
Le style Renaissance, lui, transparaît au niveau des tapisseries et des terrasses.
Cloître, cour d'honneur, salon d'honneur avec boiseries, jardin d'hiver, roseraie, chemin de ronde Est avec ses échauguettes, etc. sont autant d'éléments du domaine à découvrir.
Les héritiers de Madame H vendent la propriété à l' association fondée par Madame G en 1929.
Aujourd'hui, le château est laissé à l'abandon...

Les petits iris jaunes, qui poussent au ras du sol. Floraison de fin février au mois de mars. Cette année, c'est en avril que j'ai pu les admirer. Photo prise un petit peu à contre-jour afin de mettre en valeur la nature légèrement opalescente de cette superbe fleur.

The film Le Bossu ou le Petit Parisien (1925) by Jean Kemm deals with Chevalier Lagardère (Jacquet), who wants to avenge the death of his friend, killed by the Prince of Gonzaga many years ago. The film was based on the homonymous novel by Paul Féval, who was co-scenarist for the film as well. Jealous of the other man's riches, Gonzaga (Marcel Vibert) kills Nevers (Jean Lorette) in a treacherous duel and marries his widow, Aurore (Claude France). But Lagardère steals Irène, the child of Nevers and Aurore. Several years after, he returns pretending to be the hunchback of the Rue Quincampoix. He unmasks Gonzaga and holds Irène's (Nilde Duplessy) hand in return.
Le Bossu was probably the first production of cinema owner Jacques Haïk, who would become an active French film producer and film distributor in the early sound era.

Vous vous rappelez du minou noir qui venait manger en été ? A l'époque j'étais inquiète pour lui car il maigrissait à vue d'oeil. Là je le trouve bien rond et l'appétit est très bon (voir la sauce sur son menton)
