Le passe-muraille (The Walker-Through-Walls), also known as Chambre sensorielle, is a bronze sculpture created in 2006 by French artist Jean-Bernard Métais. It is located in the Parc du Pescatore in Luxembourg City and was set up over the old casemate-network of the city.
The sculpture is made out of two bronze hemispheres and is 3 meters high with a diameter of 6 meters. One can enter Le Passe-muraille through these hemispheres. 8,000 holes let the landscape shine through.

Les Surfs was a Yé-yé-style pop group from Madagascar, that existed from 1963 until 1971.
Coco, Pat, Rocky, Dave, Monikya (Monique) and Nicole Rabaraona were the eldest six of twelve children. They were born in Madagascar. In 1958, the four brothers and two sisters entered a singing competition held by Radio Tananarive under the name Rabaraona Brothers and Sisters. They performed two songs by The Platters, 'Only You' and 'The Great Pretender'. They were awarded with the first prize and then began performing under the new name 'The Beryl'. They toured Madagascar with 'Henry Ratsimbazafy and the CCC guitars' and it was at this time that they recorded their first 45s, 'Little Flower', 'Marin' and 'The Three Bells'.
In 1963, they appeared on the grand opening of the second television station in France. Their performance endeared them to the French public so Jean-Louis Rafidy, who was chaperone to the Rabaraonas while in Paris, urged them to sign a contract with Festival Records and release a single as soon as possible. With the release of 'Reviens Vite Et Oublie', a cover of 'Be My Baby', the group who were now named 'Les Surfs' were at the top of the charts for three months in France and in Spain and Mexico with a Spanish version. They toured with Frank Alamo and Sheila and in 1964 they performed at the Olympia in Paris. It was here they were proclaimed the Newcomers Of The Year.
Les Surfs recorded and toured throughout the 1960s in languages and countries all over the world. Performances at San Remo secured them as a popular act in Italy, Spain and Germany. With further television appearances in France, Italy, England and America they garnered an international audience of millions. As a dynamic sounding and original looking group they secured many original compositions and some covers of English language songs. With their career spanning from 1958 to 1971, they performed for royalty and common people alike. By the time the late 1960s had rolled around they had their own young families and so in 1971, at the end of a very long tour, Les Surfs decided to call it a day.

Could call this the fourth era of LMP. For 2014 the cars are narrower and taller, their tires are narrower, and overall there are many changes for aero and visibility. More importantly, the regulations push further advances in hybrids with a new fuel-flow formula while effectively removing engine restrictions. It’s nearly a modern-day Can Am rulebook.
The headline news is the return of Porsche. The 919 is smooth, curvy and flowing. With a tiny petrol-fueled v4 and a 8mj battery hybrid system, the 919 is clearly not just a rebadged Audi. Considering the context, the two cars couldn’t be more different.
Audi wrap an angular new car around a much more powerful hybrid system, adding 4mj to a new iteration of an increasingly-efficient mono-turbo v6 tdi unit. The complex interactions between the power sources create some severe teething problems for the team. Issues with the balance of braking and energy recovery saw two cars destroyed in dramatic crashes early in the WEC season
Toyota's next iteration of their hybrid prototype is the TS040. Powered by a slightly smaller but still naturally aspirated v8 now coupled to a 6mj capacitor system driving the front wheels.
Rebellion debut their new car, the R-One, designed and built in partnership with Oreca for the new “Lightweight” class of LMP1 for non-hybrid privateer teams.
Porsche is impressively fast, gunning for pole but just pipped by Toyota. The race was a true endurance battle of everyone against everything. Apocalyptic weather, massive multi-car tangles, and many, many things breaking. Toyota lead strongly for over half the race, but the savage pace began to unravel the whole grid. Uncharacteristically, Audi suffered as many issues as the other teams, everyone struggling with aspects of their hugely complex new cars. Ultimately through perseverance and simply fewer problems, the #2 Audi of André Lotterer, Marcel Fässler, and Benoît Tréluyer emerge from the scrum for the win.
Nissan announce they will be joining the WEC and Le Mans in 2015 in a highly-publicized effort with a radically-different car.
Follow along as I retrace the important and interesting prototypes of the Le Mans “LMP” era and the story of Audi's legacy. #legolemans
