“It’s just very whimsical. It’s not like any other labyrinth I’ve ever seen,” says 17-year old Francesca Farris. As part of earning the Girl Scout Gold Award, she recruited MECA camp kids and Sixth Ward residents to help out with creating the maze of bricks, flowers, and mosaics.

The very first labyrinth walk, led by Robin Murez and volunteers. Although there is no one way to walk a labyrinth, a popular way is to see it in 3 stages. The first stage is called "Purgation". Here, you meditate on releasing thoughts, emotions, etc., as you begin walking towards the center.

My impression of the Budapest Labyrinth - I was very pleasantly surprised, not having any idea what to expect. If you've ever played the video game Myst, it reminded me of that.
