.Hundreds of Kuwaiti firemen on Tuesday fought to contain a massive fire in a dump for used tyres, with some members of parliament calling the blaze an environmental catastrophe.Firemen from the national guard, the army and the oil sector joined efforts to extinguish the fire that was still raging 10 hours after it broke out in the dump of more than five million tyres.
Kuwait Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser al-Mohammad al-Sabah , (R) and Parliament spokman Jassem Al Khorafi(L) , after Kuwait's prime minister survived a no-confidence vote against him in parliament on Thursday 23June , after being questioned about favouring relations with Iran over other Gulf neigbours.Sheikh Nasser currently heads the seventh government since his appointment by Emir Of Kuwait .
I finished college in 1981 and had my first fulltime job. I taught as an elementary school teacher in Kuwait that fall. I went with a classmate from home and new friends who were new hires too. It was the first time we'd been overseas. The world seems like a much different place.

Hundreds protested outside Kuwait's main government building( Kuwait's emir and the prime minister offices) today Tuesday 8 March to demand sweeping changes on how the oil-rich country is run as another Gulf state joined the surge for reforms around the Arab world.protesters slogans: "Leave! We Deserve Better!" Others waved banners saying "New country with a new prime minister."

The Kuwait Towers are three towers of reinforced concrete in Kuwait City. The main tower is 187 metres high and serves as a restaurant and water tower. It also has a Viewing Sphere which rises to 123 meters above sea level and completes a full round turn every 30 minutes.
