Ian was born in Magwa Hospital in Ahmadi in 1955 and lived in Kuwait until 1975. He’s scanned over 300 Kuwait-related photos from his family’s collection, which he’s kindly given me permission to share. This bath of photos I'm sharing were taken over various weekends and holidays in Kuwait, between the late 60s and early 70s.

Kuwait City, the capital of the Arabian Gulf country of Kuwait, is renowned for its Grand Mosque, which boasts a spacious interior and a dome adorned with chandeliers.
Along the waterfront, Seif Palace, dating back to the late 19th century, showcases a neo-Arabic watchtower and well-kept gardens. Close by, the Kuwait National Museum delves into the nation's history and hosts science exhibitions in its planetarium. The extensive Souk Al-Mubarakiya offers a variety of food and handicrafts.
CAMP ARIFJAN, Kuwait - The 143d Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) recognized many of its Soldiers' achievements by adding chevrons to their chests or pinning medals to their collars. Spc. Jonathan Bell and Spc. Brianna Falzone earned their sergeant stripes (E-5) while Pfc. Richard Caudell joined the specialist ranks (E-4) during a Feb. 8 ceremony held at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.
Other Soldiers such as Capt. Thomas Feiter, Sgt. 1st Class Ivan Alicea, Sgt. Onrry Dejesus and Spc. Hubbard Hoyt received medals, coins or certificates for various accolades.
