And for the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, we all went to the theatrical showing of Day of the Doctor.
Of course I dressed to the nines - I mean sevens.

The Old Man is getting on in years, always seemingly in the "Time for the Final Trip to the Vet" zone - and yet every time I take the memorial picture, he bounces back.
So - is third time the charm? Do I have to keep shooting him to keep the streak going? Well - cant hurt!

Just a product shot of some of my 35mm film in the fridge.
Some of this was just bought, some has been in the fridge for a while. Haven't had much time to shoot film. But since I just renewed my Costco card, I can start shooting C41 again!
I know the MAX 400 is really bad, and the Kodachrome is really old. DoodleD has her eye on the E100VS. I want to shoot the Ektar and the Acros in the studio for sure. Other than that, I've got no plans. I have a feeling this will take a while, since I'm not the biggest fan of fast film.

You know the problem with a manual focus lens? Sometimes even experienced photographers blow the shot! :) So while I wanted to usher in nice weather with Keri lounging on the grass, this was not the angle I was going for, This is my also-ran shot, the only one that worked of the bunch.
Ah well, it gives me something to shoot later in the summer. . . .

literally and figuratively, the last of cameron mcnall's 2001 "hollywood shadow project" silhouettes. originally ten in all, the sculptures were strategically located to cast shadows on adjacent buildings (see next photo). other than this one, they're all gone.

You can do it at a trot, you can do it a gallop. . . or you can ride in style in the skyride in front of the sunset.
