Based on a design by Marianne Isager

This was called "The Idiot's Dishcloth" and I still messed it up. lol

Started knitting a sweater. Enough of a challenge to keep me interested but not so difficult that it would tempt me to start throwing things around.

Pattern from Knitty.

knit for LSG swap, sent to Yessika

Lily Chin design from a recent magazine (this is the smallest size, but knit on a slightly larger gauge than the pattern called for). Jo Sharp SoHo Summer DK Cotton (color: Crete)

I made this for Helen.

Finished it just in time for fall, the first frost came last week.

The pattern is Beatnik from Knitty.com: knitty.com/ISSUEdf10/PATTbeatnik.php

A random sampling of one of my favorite things...hand-knit dishcloths. One of my resolutions this year is to try out a different pattern every month. I'm looking forward to the challenge and to the drawer full of cloths I'll have by the end of the year.

The sock I knitted to cover my footsie while I'm healing from a broken leg. Boo for the break. Yay for the knitting.

This is the project that started my knitting obsession. A few years ago I found this free pattern online, to cut half inch strips of fabric and knit them into a little purse. Havings so many bits and pieces of fabric at the time, and no yarn, I got to cutting strips and strips of my quilting fabric, found an old pair of needles and the long hidden knitting obsession awoke :)

The purse is just knitted strips of batik fabric (a tighter weave and less fraying). The strips are knotted together, nothing fancy. Straight for so long, then decreased on both sides to make the flap. What could be easier?

My first completed piece.

primrose nightie, in progress. Yarn is Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece, split down into 2-ply.
