Sir John was returned as holding a quarter of a knight’s fee in Lowdham in 1302/3. He had the king’s protection on going over seas in the company of Roger de Monthermer in 1313.
Dying in 1318, his Inquisition post mortem held in August 1318 shows that he held a capital messuage in Lowdham of the

On his head is a round topped cerveliêre under the mail is secured by an ornamental fillet of five-petalled roses.which hangs over the surcoat in front. The hands are joined in prayer, and the wrists are secured with straps. The long tag of the girdle which confines the surcoat hangs down the right side. The hauberk is slit up the front, and shows beneath it the lower edge of the quilted gambeson. The knee-caps are ridged down the front, . the sword-belt is ornamented with transverse bars and studs of metal. The shield bears the arms of Lowdham, argent a bend azure crusily or. The spurs are of the roweled or prick variety but do have very long shanks.

I'm not much of a blogger/writer but I feel like this upload deserves a little back story description to it.
I was on my way to take some portraits for a friend that was in a wedding at Phipps Conservatory today. After I was all done with taking some flicks at Phipps I headed back home. I took Washington Blvd and I got the red light at the end and looked over and saw these two in an all out battle. They were not holding back just fighting it out. It was awesome so I immediately pulled over and asked to take some pics.
I talked to them for a bit and they are a part of a Medieval Reenactment Group in Pittsburgh that meets every Sunday in the field along Washington Blvd. I just caught the tail end of their practice. They said there are about 20-30 people that meet there every week. Their names were Joel and Emily. (I'm pretty horrible with names so I hope those are right) I could tell they are very nice down to earth people and I'm defiantly thinking about going back soon and taking more photos. They said next week they are having a melee type all out battle with everyone fighting at the same time.

41st International Knight Tournament in Golub Castle, Poland. Knights from Ukraine, Italy, Sweden, France and Poland did their best to win several competitions, including riding a horse and shooting.

Knight Street is, metaphorically, a hop, skip and a jump from Stewart Ave. It's maybe a hundred yards distant. I went to school in the brick building you can just barely see here at the end of Knight Street. That was for eight years in the 1950s and '60s. I still have dreams about the area.
This was one morning about three weeks ago. Again, this was shot on Fuji Pro400H film in the Lomo Belair X6-12 camera with its 58mm lens, taking a 53x105mm image. You can easily see the wide-angle distortion on the right and left, but it's rather pleasant, I think.
One of the latest of Moon Knight's personalities, "Mr. Knight." This character may be one of the good guys but he is dangerous because of his instability. Unlike Deadpool, who has a good mix of humor, this character really does have serious mental issues and is more dangerous because of them.
I used two Topaz Adjust filters for this pic.
Have I found my dream knight? Well, he doesn't have a white horse and is kind of short. Definitely no match for Esmi!
