Handmade black clay kitchenware and dishes are as functional as they are beautiful. These are made in Colombia from clay that contains mica which allows it to withstand heat. It can be used in the oven and microwave and on the stove top. Handmade so hand wash :).

I like their funky lamps and enamel kitchenware. I did mean to ask where they got their enamel kitchenware from, as I'm after a new set of enamel bowls.

The kitchenware belongs to my mother and the writing was made by my father. It goes: "If you have bread, you will find some teeth."

It is not all, not at all! More than 20 years ago my father painted some big figures on the kitchen wall. Including Jeanne d'Arc ... he loves France. Why did he paint in the kitchen? There were some wet stains on the wall and it was easier and more funny for him to take the chance and paint some figures than to take a buckle full of dull white and paint the whole kitchen.

Above the big table, there are coats-of-arms on the ceiling. And in the living room as well.

I found all of these pieces as a set at the thrift, including some that are not in the picture because they are damaged or stained. Any idea on how to get rid of yellow stains?

The 5 gal crock is the piece that started it all.Saltglazed stoneware crock circa late 19th century,found at a antique store 13 yrs ago for $15 cause it had a crack,I didn't even know what it was it sat on my front porch until 3 yrs ago.The stoneware jug to Lt. is a white glazed syrup jug circa 1910.The jug to rt is salt glazed and is circa turn of the century.Also pictured are old milk bottles and a old poured glass Ball mason jar.

finally got the enemal pot of my dreams--stopped at some antique shops on the way home from minneapolis

The obligatory kitchenware photo. Strainers, spoons, a spatula, an old ice-cream scoop. This is another ISO 800 image, and it looks wonderful (in spite of the questionable subject matter). I can certainly see the grain if I pixel-peep, but even then I like what I see.
